From the Original post, (Page 53 Faction RP FRM) Approved by the admins in 2006 (Modified) The Faction request was from 2006 bare with me, as I continue to collect my thoughts and better place the Faction for RP on the (Current) server.

Primary Tag layout: [RO] or [RO-Squadron/Devision"Call Sign"[Rank] (M/WC/CO/XO)

Primary Command.

[RO-CC]"Nex"[M]
The Exodus.

*Often have our children lay captivated with dreams strung though a sand-stained veil, almost as often have we have been reminded that only the innocent are graced with the ability to see reason through an orchestra rosined red with blood and chaos. - Admiral of the fleet, Memory of the past.

The Past and the Present.
Our past, 2160 (The final battle)

[color=orange]*When we look for a meaning in our past, we see nothing but the future, for a soldier can see only his destruction though a history of violence. As we rosin our bows for the final time, often hunted by the dogs of war, our song shall string only tales of peace and prosperity to our war-torn people. Our history is one known far too well; our war, our struggle for peace, has lead us astray though the valley. As we lay eternally locked in the grip of the grim reaper's blank stare, in the very moment we should have obtained our imminent victory, we ironically ensured nothing more then our ultimate destruction. During our war, the Rules of Engagement were often as simple as they were violent. We fought, driven only by the hatred and strife that had befallen us, for not one crewmen could say, for certain, exactly why the war started in the first place. As we rosined our bows to the general quarters alarm, we had only the memories of terror that were soon to follow; they lay etched in our minds, as if into granite, though our condemned slumber.

*A great many years have passed since the fall of our beloved Coalition. We watched in horror as the burning supernova consumed the remnants of our kind and of our origin system. As our people lay wounded, distant and distraught we listened though the dead of the night befallen upon our once blaring communication channels and navigational screen, streaming prosperously with tactical information between fleets. Perhaps by nothing more than blind luck were we spared to hear these haunting whispers, although we more often consider it to have been our punishment as a people than as a gift from God. We made one more pass though our destroyed system before our great trial. When we entered our brothers' resting place, what came to be found was a sight too horrifying to be described by any known words the living or mortal possess; in this fact we shall not try our hand at explanation. It was clear then, as a people, what must be done. With great regret we entered our eternal sleep; we left our past behind and embarked upon our trip to the Sirius sector.

The Red Orchestra Code of Conduct.

  • [color=red]- War is no longer our way; treat your enemy with respect, honor and dignity.

[color=red]- Never attack our allied nations, for they are our strength and prosperity.

    - Our numbers are few. We must work to rebuild and give hope to our people.

    - Abide by the rules established by routed factions on the servers on which we choose to play; we have no need for petty drugs or mind altering deterrents - the way people choose to live their lives is not our concern.

    - Abide by the rules established by our faction and the motherland.

    - Defend The Red Orchestra with pride, for she is our home and our salvation.

Status: Marshal of the Russian Federation, Founding memebers.
*Marshal of the Russian Federation is the highest rank of the Russian Federation, created in 1991 after the fall and breakup of the Soviet Union. It ranks immediately above the General of the Army and Admiral of the Fleet. This is an honorary rank, for founding members and electives (Award Only) .

Rank: Admiral of the fleet
Required Points: 250,000
Required Experience: Expert all ranks.
*Fleet Admira, sometimes also referred to as Admiral of the Fleet, is presently the highest appoint naval rank of the Russian Coalition. It's a direct counterpart of corresponding Soviet naval rank, Admiral of the Fleet. The Russian rank of Fleet Admiral is roughly equivalent to a 'four star' Admiral in other nations. In the present time there are no active ranks higher than Fleet Admiral in the Russian military.

Rank: Admiral
Required points: 200,000
Required Experience: Skilled, Fighter ace / Skilled, Support medals.
*The word Admiral stems from the Arabic term Amir-al-bahr (commander of the sea). Crusaders learned the term during their encounters with the Arabs, perhaps as early as the 11th century. The Sicilians and later Genoese took the first two parts of the term and used them as one word, amiral, from their Catalan opponents. The French and Spanish gave their sea commanders similar titles. As the word was used by people speaking Latin or Latin-based languages it gained the "d" and endured a series of different endings and spellings leading to the English spelling "admyrall" in the 14th century and to "admiral" by the 16th century. The word Admiral has today come to be almost exclusively associated with the highest naval rank in most of the world's navies, equivalent to the Army rank of (Full) General. The rank of Admiral has also been subdivided into various grades, several of which are historically extinct while others are used by most present day navies. The generic terms for these naval equivalents of army generals is Flag Officer. Some navies have also used army-type titles for them, such as the Cromwellian General at sea. The Israeli Defence Forces do not have separate naval ranks, and the Hebrew rank Aluf denotes both a General and an Admiral.

Rank: Vice Admiral
Required Points: 180,000
Required Experience: Expert, Commerce and Vault medals.
*Vice Admiral is a naval rank of three star level, equivalent to Lieutenant General in seniority. A Vice Admiral is typically senior to a Rear Admiral and junior to an Admiral.

Rank: Counter Admiral
Required Points: 175,000
Required Experience: Expert, Tour of duty (Activity).
*Counter Admiral is an Anglification (although actually rarely heard - the rank is usually kept in the original language or translated to "Rear-Admiral") of a naval rank found in some European navies; for example, in the German Navy: Konteradmiral. Many former communist countries have adopted the russian "Контра-адмирал", which has the same meaning. In meaning it is the equivalent of the British and American rank of Rear Admiral, though it is no longer always the equivalent pay grade. Traditionally, the commander of a fleet, the Admiral, usually stationed his flagship in the middle of the formation, with his primary deputy, the Vice Admiral, in the vanguard and his second deputy, the Counter Admiral, in the rear, leading the reserve.

Rank: Captain, 1st rank
Required Points: 150,000
Required Experience: Basic, support.
*Captain is both a nautical term and a rank in various uniformed organizations. The word came to English via French from the Latin capitaneus ("chief") which is itself derived from the Latin word caput ("head"). The term has different meanings both at sea and in the military. Confusion between the three types of captain (nautical, naval and army) often exists in literature, drama and real life. The customs indicated are necessary to avoid confusion at sea when the question of "Who is in charge of the ship?" may be a matter of life and death.

Rank: Senior Lieutenant
Required Points: 75,000
Required Experience: Skilled, Commerce and Vault medals.
*Lieutenant is a military, paramilitary or police officer rank. The word lieutenant derives from French; the lieu meaning "place" as in a position; and tenant meaning "holding" as in "holding a position"; thus a "lieutenant" is somebody who holds a position in the absence of his superior (compare the cognate Latin locum tenens). The British monarch's representative in Ireland and in the counties of the United Kingdom was/is called the Lord-Lieutenant. In French history, "lieutenant du roi" was a title borne by the officer sent with military powers to represent the king in certain provinces. It is in the sense of a deputy that it has entered into the titles of more senior officers, Lieutenant General and Lieutenant Colonel. In the nineteenth century those British writers who either considered this word an imposition on the English language or difficult for common soldiers and sailors argued for it to be replaced by the calque "steadholder" but failed and the French word is still used as well as its Lieutenant-Colonel variation in both the Old and the New World.

Rank: Chief Ship Starshina
Required Points: 20,000
Required Experience: Basic, Commerce or Vault medal.
*Starshina, or Starshyna (Ukrainian and Russian: старшина́, from старший, starshyi, "senior"), had a number of meanings, all related to the position of chiefdom. Among Ukrainian Cossacks, starshina was a collective noun for categories of officership: junior starshina (младшая старшина), general starshina (Генеральная Старшина), military starshina (воинская старшина), substarshina (подстаршина). In Imperial Russia of 17-20th centuries a volostnoy starshina was a chief of a volost (a rural administrative unit). He was in charge of the distribution of taxes, resolving conflicts within obshchina, distribution of the usage of community lands, assigning people for military service, etc. The rank of voiskovoi starshina ("starshina of the voisko") was introduced into Russian military ranks in 1826, as equivalent of a sub-polkovnik in the Cossack cavalry. In the Soviet Army, a starshina was the highest non-commissioned officer among conscripts; this was changed by reintroduction of the higher-ranking praporshchik in 1972. In the Soviet Navy, it was introduced in 1942 as a petty officer rank; every enlisted seaman ranking above matrose, 1st class is a starshina of various ranks. The starshina as an enlisted rank is still used in Russian military ranks, in the Army and Navy.

We where allied with the SCRA, back in 2006. I haven't heard any words form them so far. (Apparently there under new command.)

We had a Diplomacy chart, however its out dated by 3 years. (I'm currently working and updating information.)

Back in 2006. I'll go ask Koolmo.

Regardless, you look like SCRA Junior, with zero information about anything, apart from how to buy yourself an officer's commission. I'd advise getting used to the current server a bit better before posting a faction request, which apparently costs a lot these days. Five hundred million credits is the last I heard.

The leader of the SCRA joined the military, and has been training for over a year. The SCRA didn't disappear. A faction isn't one person.

I'm going to take down a few names, here. If I see you posting off-topic and flames again I am going to have your posting rights removed. That goes hand-in-hand with a vacation from the server, in case you don't realize.

I am seriously getting rather bothered by the sheer amount of spam a number of you do. This thread will stay open unless a moderator sees fit to lock it. I will be removing a number of posts, however.

I posted a general amount of information, Not everything is here due to form restrictions. More or less what i posted is the RP back history we had at the time of creation, along with our recruiting thread and an out of date version of the point system, witch is being updated considering disco has formally released a new version during the time I was away.
