Quick question to avoid problems when I replace my computer soon.
Does the Launcher attribute the Launcher accounts to a user based on the Freelancer account information registry string?
Meaning, if I export the account info as a .reg file, and after installing FL on the new computer, can I simply apply that .reg file to the newly installed FL on the new computer so that the Launcher will pick up my user ID and make my existing launcher accounts available without further ado?
Or is there another process to make re-installation painless?

That is the usual process. Make certain you do a full backup of all your accounts by selecting them all, before exporting them. Export them to Google Drive or some cloud based storage as a double backup.
I have a similar question but what happens is that I don't have the XML files and I don't know how to create them using the Launcher. I have the ID's but it doesn't let me code it when creating new accounts.

Can I get some help, please?
Thanks in advance.
@Frank Rom Create some dummy account in launcher, and export it, check the notepad of exported file for the format it exported them out.
Realize that your ID can be inputed into it in only two different ways at maximum, input, and reimport file back.
Some other people may be able to advice more precise instruction or easier alternative
I did create some XML files with the Launcher and replaced the code with my account ID, and then imported back. But what happens is that everytime I launch the mod when I chose Multiplayer it asks me to create an account. Obviously there are no ships in there, and even if I use my ID inside the game it tells me its invalid.
EDIT: It seems my accounts are not in Windows registry. Is there anything I can do, and how?

first thing first, preferably press "reply" to have quoted me when answering. that will help me to receive notification about msg automatically. Otherwise i get no notification about msg
Secondly... i think u can just create already the account as game suggests
Your Disco Launcher will be able to auto import it. From there try to select your imported account with double click to ensure you switched to it, and reenter the game and see if u can enter it.
Or you can try selecting the account right away
Disco launcher says at the bottom, what is Current active Account? you should see your imported account name there if you are succesful
