I like to thank St.Denis for his response to my trading thread. I did start enjoying the game however when it came to racing Dexter Hovis I failed the race therefore I'm unable to go any further. I can now see why cheating was invented. No amount of trying has helped. If anyone can help me by pass this I would be most appreciated. Alternatively as I can't by pass this point I'm stopping play.

Change your tactic, you can do it, go Frank!
Bribe the race official at Battleship Hood or load a
save point before the race & buy a faster ship!

I tried too many times and failed even with a faster ship. As for bribing an official I like the way you think but can't find one to bribe

Sorry, the bribe bit was just a joke,
You'll just have to try a few more times, be quick pressing your cruise
at the start & try to ignore Hovis as you focus on the hoops.
It'll come Frank, no sweat.

Try taking sharper turns closer to the center of race track. It'll work most of the time and will help you win some time.

When you are using f2 for crusing, the ship try to avoid the rings and pushed you a little bit away, right?
That's the autopilot.

Ahh right, meaning the cruise key, got ya, been a long time since i had a shift+w key bound to cruise.

Hey Frank, when you hit your cruise, ram into the git & nudge him out the way,
that might slow Hovis down enough to get ahead.
