LNS-Aurora/Rocky is being sanctioned and warned due to a report posted on April 27, 2009 for:

5.11 Using F1 in a PvP fight, as well as in any other situations that involves player interactions, is not allowed.
This includes jumping back and forth through a gate or jumphole to avoid combat, or being pirated.
If you lose server connection during a player interaction, you should get back in game quickly to continue the
interaction, with the other player's permission. If that is not possible, then post on the forums and PM the
players involved.

6.2 Out of Roleplay (OORP):
In-game tag seen before the name must match the ID as closely as possible. It is not allowed to have the tag not match ID category. For example, it is prohibited to have 'Police' tag and 'Pirate' ID.

Equipment used must match tag and ID as closely as possible. For example, it is not allowed for Corsairs to use Outcast ships and guns.

All reputations should be in accordance with the faction followed, all enemies must be red, at least during the course of a player - player combat

For F1ing from a pirate on Rocky, you lose all your guns, cargo, and credits.

We're warning you for flying a Liberty Gunboat with a Navy ID in Rheinland without being hostile. Reputations have been adjusted to reflect the ongoing war.

Apologies to disturb you, but I was making an enquiry about a sanction notification that was received on my 'Corundum.Freight'.

I would absolutely like to apologise to the Hessian that I was pirated by, and did not mean to seem like I had F1ed, but my internet was experiencing problems, and my parents were continually rebooting the router, happened twice.

First time I crashed, I quickly tried to get back on as soon as possible, which I did. I messaged and apologised to the Hessian I was being followed by, that my internet modem crashed. He said it was ok, and that I was not within pirating distance for him. This was messaged within 2 minutes after the crash.

So I continued my route and found him again near the tradelane. I quickly disabled the tradelane and ran for Dresden, with him tailing behind. I then made my way to Bautzen (He was probably still following) and my internet crashed again. I clearly know that I did not F1, and would never do such a thing. My internet was under heavy pressure, and was down for about an hour after the crash at Bautzen. 4 Minutes after the first crash. I would've tried to reconnect and message him that it happened again, but my internet was then down for 1 hour, and then I had problems starting up the FLMM Beta 5 update, and didn't get back on after 3 pain staking hours. Read there, and you'll see about my 3 hour incident, then I finally got back on.

I have now lost 18 million credits on my train, all Type 4 Turret weapons, and cargo (Neon) onboard. I'm not going to whine like others do, but please, please help me in this matter. I've never gotten a sanction and neither F1'ed before. And I never would, since it is clearly stated in the rules, (I read them before I started my first character of course). I don't blame the Hessian that may have reported me. It would most definately seem I F1'ed, but I would never have done so, again I say my internet was experiencing problems, I would not lie about such a subject. I hate to see a Sanction Notification in my hold, and would never want one to be there.

Just an extra backing on some things I said;
thing is, doesn't basically everyone Disconnect out of something accidentally? Modem or server related?
All I see is I got in trouble for a DC, and I don't find it fair on some others to get into trouble for server related problems, or if their internet is slower than dial up (Although dial-up can be quite quick [At times]), or if their router is disfunctional.

This relates to my problem above. We all hate it when we DC out of a battle, or piracy for that matter. We all try our hardest to reconnect to not get into trouble, while most people don't. But at times, some people can't reconnect immeidiatley after a crash, or disconnection. That is the main problem I experienced above. If I could have reconnected straight after I crashed the second time, I would've messaged him again stating what happened. And if it did happen a second time, which it did, I would've probably just paid the Hessian anyway as soon as I got back into the game, since I ruined his oportunity to pirate me twice. But because I didn't get a chance to reconnect. This is the result of a problem that 'I' could not have even stopped.

Many people may agree, some not. But the fact is, everyone disconnects at least once in the server. Server related or not, some people can't help it.

Hope this also gives a highlight to what I'm experiencing right now.

i have said that to every pirate who its happened to, and i have paid them.

@Corundum.Freight: You disconnected twice in front of the same Hessian. Not once, but twice. I would suggest you stop trading or playing Freelancer if you are having serious network issues (like parents restarting the router).

@Rocky: You "disconnected" to another character, as I can tell.

Look, if you blue screen or get disconnected rules say you should post on the forums if you can't get back in. I can't find a post from either of you saying as such. If you can get in-game and accidentally disconnected during piracy, just send the fellow 2 million, and he'll most likely be on his way. Take an SS of the /givecash confirmation, and that would be effective counter-evidence.

It basically sounds like if I had a internet problem, which I normally don't, I should quit playing Freelancer? Course not.

I don't normally have bad connections, but that day, we were fixing our router. And yes, I know I disconnected in front of the same hessian twice, and I apologise for that. But is it really my fault that I must have my weapons and credits stripped for something I didn't do?

And I did post on the forums saying I had trouble getting in, as I stated earlier in this link.

That was one problem I was experiencing. I don't know if you missed it or not, but I did post. And I am posting now because I didn't know I would get a sanction for something I didn't expect. I told the hessian I was having problems the first time. I didn't know that he wouldn't believe me if it happened again. I thought he would have thought I disconnected again!

Tis' not exactly fair for me to lose my credits over something I've done correctly. Its not a matter that I 'can't get in', but its a matter that I 'couldn't get in after a while'. There is a temporary and permanent difference between the two.
Oh, and if you really want evidence, I will get my brothers to back up what I'm saying with a PM since the router really did reboot twice. Empiral evidence is what I have to offer.

PS: If you are able to give my credits back for something I have not done, I will eagerly pay up to 5 Million to Hessian for his troubles (You may have to PM me his name, since I can't remember), since I ruined his opportunity to pirate me, not once, but twice. And also, my parents never warned me that it was going to reboot, so who am I to say it was my fault?

Again, I would like to apologise to the Hessian if you see this. I don't blame you for reporting me, it would've most likely seemed I F1'ed. My upmost sincere apologies.

If your internet came back up after one hour, then you should have posted on the forums about the incident. There was no post, nor did you PM any RHA members or post in the feedback thread about the incident. All this thread shows is that you had access to the forums, yet didn't post about the disconnect incident.

You were trading hours between Rheinland and Liberty with Mesolite.Freight. I think you killed an RFP officer who was trying to stop you smuggling across the Blockade. I logged onto my Hessian after noticing you online, and there was no response from you. I thought you may have been in a fight, but you traversed multiple systems without saying a word to me.

As I said, I did not know the Hessian would think I F1'ed when it happened a second time.

And as for the traversing many systems without saying a word, I got absolutely no replies.
Yes I was engaged by a Policeman, but made a mistake as I was not carrying embargo related goods towards Rheinland, and he even paid compensation for the damage he did to my ship (And apologised at the same time), but I never received anything in private. My computer is right next to Mesolite's computer, (1 metre away). He would've even noticed if I was being talked to. Even if I was 'AFK' at the time, but I don't think I was 'AFK', if I recall.

And also, if you were the hessian that did report me, much apologies. I really would have messaged you if I saw your chat. If you are the hessian, please, please send me by PM your name and I will pay you compensation for my network problems. Sanction or not, I would like to apologise for what has happened.

Edit: Oh, and I just received news that a large download was occuring on one of the computers. Which is another reason why my internet was slow at the time. Until it started having problems and needed to reboot (Which I was not warned about).

About the thing you said I had access to the forums, I got internet back after over and hour of waiting. After which Freelancer Mod manager had problems. I wanted to get back into the game as soon as possible to resolve the issue 'In Game' which is always the better solution. But seemingly, when I finally managed to get back on, I never saw you, so I continued trading without anyone giving me any private messages, which I never seemingly received.

So that means you believe I disconnected, and I had internet problems. If so, would I be able to get a compensation for what I have lost from the sanction?

Edit: This was not given immeidiately, but if your rules are followed accordingly, you said that you should send the credits after I had the internet problem. Quite litteraly, I have. Even though I have gotten a sanction before hand. But the sanction was not what I expected to receive. If I could reprove myself, I would Virus. If you would be able to, I would really appreciate a second chance in this matter. With upmost respect, please think it over Virus.

no i did not, my computer blue screened of death, then i had to wait like 2-3 minutes to get back online, i went to LNS-Aurora for a second, i then switched back to Rocky and told the person what happened.

i didn't know i had to post on the forums, where would i post when i blue screen of death?
