Freeport 6 - Blue blood has showered the asteroid fields of the Taus today as Lord Lowfer-Ferrers has met an unfortunate demise on a return trip from a secret Cryer medical facility in the remote Sigmas. What sort of condition would require going to such lengths for treatment is anyone's guess, but what is certain is that the Lord will not be coming in for a checkup next Sunday.
A notorious BMM stooge, the Lord found himself in the crosshairs of multiple parties who allegedly attempted or conspired to attempt his capture or elimination. Among such are several Molly cells, the Corsairs, the Gallic Royalist remnants, several Hogosha syndicates and apparently, the Kusari state apparatus as well.
While no organization has come forward to claim responsibility for the murder, the Republican Provisional Assembly denies any connection to the event. Molly fighters were present on the scene when the Lord's shuttle was apparently vaporised by a missile launched not from a foe, but from a supposed protector - the Kusarian battlecruiser IKN Haruna.
Sources within Assembly Military Intelligence suggest the Lord's shuttle's flight plan was leaked to unknown parties several hours before his departure, allowing multiple rival groups to converge on his location. In the ensuing chaos, it would be difficult to pinpoint who exactly is responsible for the Lord's demise, which works to the advantage of the culprit, allowing them to deny any responsibility.
While the Mollys will certainly shed no tears over the matter, it is a concern that our movement may be getting used as a proxy in some great game between the Houses. We urge everyone to verify any intel received from unproven sources.
