Greetings Starfliers. My name is Leo Morningstar, I am the Chief Engineer for SLRC installations and currently operating ships within Sirius space. I've been given permission from my Director to reach out to you and read you in on one of our more classified operations considering our past friendly interactions with your organization.
This particular operation is named "Project Shard" and relates to a base that we have setup out in the distant Edge World of Omicron Delta. The base is situated in a distant part of the system (coordinates will be relayed over a more secure channel) within a large ice shard from the adjacent field it orbits. This station is classified as Clearance Level 0, meaning only those with need-to-know are aware of it's existence. You are now one of these individuals--and only you, not your entire organization.
The reason we have read you into this operation, is we are having a confounded issue with the IFF transponders configured by the bases previous inhabitants. The current station reads the name of "Seward Station" with an IFF of Junker but we are trying to reconfigure these to "The Spire" and configure the IFF to squawk Zoner. Normally, my crew would be able to handle this, but we appear to be struggling to get this properly updated. We reached out to a local shipping organization to bring in Counterfeit Software to crack the codes, but even then we may need our expertise matched to yours in order to properly get this reconfigured. That Computerware is yours in exchange for your assistance in clearing of this...irritating hurdle. If you would like additional payment for your assistance, I'm sure that something can be worked out.
Provided that you are willing to work with us on this, please pass along those you are going to assign to this task and we will run their backgrounds. Their clearance will be granted provided they pass all relevant checks.
Additionally, my Director wanted me to pass on his thanks for keeping watch of Ikarus Station in our absence. It did our hearts good to see our old home still standing resolute in Tau-23. It feels good to be home again.
We will await your return transmission.

You fear oblivion. Yet you forget. The universe remembers every atom of your being. Even dust hums your name in the dark. Roleplay is dead. Long live Powertraders and PvP I guess.

Starlight? I thought you guys had disappeared completely. We took care of Ikarus, that's right, hoping for your return. Glad to see you back! This Project Shard is very interesting, you're wanting to overhaul the internal workings of your base core to match a new signature. I've had some experience setting up two of these base computers myself, so it's nice that I'm able to help with something.
Between the two of us, a lot of what's going on with the Starfliers have grown beyond my understanding. It's nice to have a project come up that I'm able to properly help with. To increase your chances, I do have someone in mind who has had a few weeks to analyze the core at Ikarus while it was under our case. Albert McKenzie would be the only person I'd assign this project to, aside from myself of course.
At the moment, we're going through a bit of internal overhaul. Enough so where we don't quite know what we're up for in terms of expenses. We'll discuss what the pay is later. For now, you have my interest. I'll forward this transmission to Albert.

Indeed. The reasons for our disappearance are classified in an entirely other project that I am not permitted to disclose. However, suffice to say, we are back operating within Sirius space.
We've done a background check on your employee, Albert McKenzie. He's been cleared to access the files aforementioned in our original documentation and access has been granted for access. The Counterfeit Computerware has been delivered to Seward Station for my team and his use.
I need to stress, that while access has been granted to Seward Station for this specific reason, that does not include access to other areas of the station. Sensitive research is going on in other areas of the station that are proprietary in nature. I'm sure that you understand how that is. However, we would be more than happy to work together on these projects in the future should your team be cleared for access.
Thank you again, for your response. We will await Mr. McKenzie's arrival and communication that the work has been completed. In the meantime, I've been directed to invite you to stop by Ikarus when you have a free moment to discuss any projects that we can work together on in the future.

Albert will be pleased to work on something that's not on his daily routine. Boredom kills the man, you're doing him a favour.
We aren't exactly used to using counterfeit software to arrange things, we lean towards purchasing official licenses and hardware where we need it. I expect complications regarding this wouldn't be too severe. Albert will make the final assessment on this matter.
Once we have wrapped up an internal assessment of our own station, we are more than happy to make our respective trips. Albert to the Omicrons and myself to Tau-23.
