I'm Mr. Ling, Lane Hacker Inner Circle. I'll cut a long story short: I was running around turning cash off of this Platinum rush in Galileo. I happened to run into Ionic right next door in Shikoku. A little dialogue was exchanged, but we reached a pretty substantial middle ground. See, I heard Kishiro wants a stab at Ageira and DSEs' monopoly on long-distance travel. I've seen the news, all that Jump Drive talk and the billions of knock-offs appearing all over the place. Quite the stir. Quite the threat. Quite the opportunity. And Ionic was willing to chat.
I'm here to discuss prospects and terms. There are two problems I'd like to solve, and doing through one place means less points of failure, and I'm sure engineers can appreciate less points of failure. I heard you can help us with getting hands on things that would let us operate a little more potently than normal. Ageira licenses access to the lane and gate networks to police, and the police bring the government forces with them whenever they see something that won't roll over for them. A way to circumvent the lane and gate system would make it very easy to turn up the heat on the corporations.
The second problem is the government forces themselves. Lane Hackers have had their share of adventures against the Liberty forces, but that doesn't change the fact that the Liberty military budget lets a battlecruiser and a couple gunboats chase me and my Havok across the entirety of California. I did a bit of recon in Gallia during that little invasion. I saw what "The Hatchet" can do. Though, I'm not really looking for a Hatchet. It'd be too obvious, and would cause both of us troubles. Something that could hold a more extensive integration of our scanner and network system is more what I have in mind right now. Something new. But it certainly needs to be capable of punching up into the Liberty Forces, and I know Kishiro is capable of that.
Now, I'm not going to upsell you for this deal. I'm a business-oriented individual, after all. What I'm proposing right now is trading the right to purchase for mutual non-aggression. We can talk prices for the other things at a later point. Groundwork, to use a single word. What do you say?
