One moment, there was silence. The other... chaos. In the split of a second, Omicron Zeta's Pohnpei Nebula lit up, though this was very evidently nothing naturally-occurring. The massive energy reading from within the cloud matched those very same created by Nomad battleships decades prior before the attack on Toledo itself. It matched those very same created in Omega-58 years prior by The Wild's vanguard attempting to break open spacetime itself and venture out.
Now it was done as a diversion yet by accident also. The arrival of several large vessels from Iota and into Zeta was not something even the vast reaches of the Pohnpei could hide away, but it coincided with a massive energy pulse from the Nomad Lair just near it, leading to, for several moments, even the complete failure of scanning equipment aboard ships close enough to the edges of the nebula. When dust 'settled', it was clear what this truly signaled, both for the Nomads and their Nemesis, Humanity.
What had yet to be decided, however, was the place to strike. For now, at least, the element of surprise was on the side of The Wild Hunt and their overlords...
