It is with great concern that the Nomads and their thralls are endangering Rheinland. I have orders from Direktor VIPER, who serves also as the Kommissaroberrat, to lead the U-Korps in response to this problem. Particularly, we have identified two key areas of interest, one in Thuringia, and another in the Omicron systems.

I shall assign at most five or six U-Korps personnel, depending on availability, including myself to assist in the defense of the RNC Kolleda in Thuringia against certain alien resistance in a few days time. A new experimental weapon, the "Dragon's Egg", has been prepared to hopefully eliminate the infested Valhalla shipyard. I shall expect utmost efficiency in your duty to defend Rheinland against the alien menace.

To the rest of the U-Korps, your primary task is to survey the Omicron systems, with the express purpose of obtaining information on Nomad-affiliated activities and eliminating them whenever necessary, preferably with the cooperation of local organizations. Should anyone else try to hinder you, target them as well. Information and awareness is key.

This is an amendment from the previous announcement. The operation in Thuringia has been postponed, but expect it to occur within the next few days. Follow your previous orders, though I have been contacted by Direktor VIPER that Flottillenadmiral Kai Siegried is to lead the U-KORPS in this operation and that I have been reassigned to cruiser duty following the successful recon operation in the Omicrons.

Project "DETEKTIV" is nearing its completion. The first batch of the prototype scanners should be available within the next several weeks. With the lessening of the Nomad threat in the core Rheinland systems, I advise all U-Korps personnel to start routine patrols in Thuringia with the possibility of future recon missions to Omega-58 once the scanners have been installed.
