Division 47 of the Liberty Security Force is a unit tasked with safeguarding the vital national interests of the Republic of Liberty. Operating in secrecy across Sirius, D47 activities cover intelligence, special operations outside of Liberty, the recovery and study of alien technology and the elimination of the Nomad threat.
Division 47 personnel are carefully selected from among the Liberty Navy and Liberty Security Force. With their exceptional skills, training and dedication, the recruitment process is highly selective and discreet, often relying on connections within LSF networks or recommendations from credentialed figures within the scientific community for its research sections. Potential recruits undergo rigorous background checks and psychological assessments to ensure they possess the discretion and loyalty needed to be a member of Division 47.
Subdivisions
Protocol One Role: Internal Affairs
Protocol One is the most secret and autonomous branch of Division 47. Its existence is denied even by those at the top. Activated only in the event of a serious internal threat.
Operating under sealed orders and almost unlimited authority, Protocol One agents specialise in counter-espionage, internal surveillance, infiltration and the neutralisation of compromised or subverted D47 assets. Where traditional security fails, Protocol One begins.
Rumours persist, officers suddenly disappear, operations are redirected without explanation and communications logs are erased. These anomalies were never acknowledged. Some speak of paranoia. Others speak of Protocol One.
Obsidian Wing is tasked with the deployment and coordination of Division 47 covert operatives. These agents are dispatched across Liberty and beyond, executing high-risk missions undercover, personal identities are wiped from official records. Each operative is assigned a codename, used only through encrypted channels. Their existence is known to only a handful within the Directorate.
They leave no trails, they ask no questions and when the job is done, they vanish.
Facility 47-3A Role: Xenotechnology Research & Experimental Applications Ship callsing:D47|R&D
Classified as a 47-3A facility in internal documents, its purpose is to analyse and exploit Nomad technology or technology from other Houses.
Personnel assigned to 47-3A are subject to strict authorisation levels, and all research is conducted in compartmentalised cells. Reverse engineering, field simulation and prototype development are standard operations, often without knowledge of the origin of the artefact or its long-term effects.
All results are considered to be under surveillance. Final reports are sent directly to high command.
Rumours of breaches of containment and failures of classified tests are commonplace, but are officially denied.

The ASF (Alaska Security Force) is a highly specialized security force that guards all LSF facilities. It can assist the Liberty Navy or even the LPI, but its area of intervention does not extend beyond Liberty Space. Their weapons and equipment are all modified, sometimes even experimentally, making them superior to basic equipment. This makes them a lethal intervention force.
Project Divisor is used to deploy Special Forces, trained terrorists, drones and other disposable assets on potentially suicide missions to take down targets of interest inside and outside of Liberty. Assets sometimes use experimental and untested weapons technology on their targets as trial-runs for section 2. It also retains some older technology that was leftover from the Liberty-Rheinland war.
