Prometheus Command Personal Dossier - Trch. Amy West
Analysis
Invincible will oversee the recovery, repair, and modernization of Arcturus. The ship's location is currently unknown; This file will detail all operations critical to securing Arcturus as an asset.
Details
- RED - Eliminated as zone of potential
- YELLOW - Zone of potential, inconclusive
- GREEN - Zone of potential, confirmed
I'm opening up this project in lieu of Onyx Squad finding her. We've spent thousands of credits of H-fuel searching the Barrier for her over the last three years, and with the return of Abaddon I've got reason to hope that we'll find her soon. Data from aboard showed she was the last to see Last Sunrise before she left scanner range, and as the Sunrise was the last to see Arcturus, a lead on her is a lead on the big girl. In a way, this project is also earmarking the Sunrise, but I'll slate her to a different project once we have her in hand.
My limited logs on the ship itself will be submitted below. This is earmarked as a personal file in the same realm as Incursus, though far more secure. This is my baby, and I'll be damned if I never work on her again.
Search records have eliminated Vespucci and Inverness proper as candidates. We've combed Cortez and Magellan well and good, but I'm not ruling them out as possible locations, given the sheer amount of nonsense that blackout caused.
Manchester would be one hell of a stretch, but connections within both Magellan and even historically in Cortez have linked them before, so we'll keep it open as a possibility. Coronado and Ontario are considerably less likely, although Coronado's outcroppings do punch deeper in, and there are plenty of large asteroids to catch lumbering dreadnoughts with.
California is certainly a possibility, and connections from Cortez wouldn't eliminate it, but the odds of a ship that large in the Tahoe not being found by someone are astronomical at best.
I'll keep an active log of search runs, and mark locations Onyx feels are worth pursuing.
DN Arcturus - 'Invincible'-class Dreadnought
Arcturus was one of the first to depart Vespucci during Duskstorm. Detailed analysis from logs sent back to Veracruz indicate that she made it through the blockade with considerable damage, and was under escort by Last Sunrise and accompanying battlegroup when contact was last made.
Damage sustained is unknown, but expected to be substantial to severe.
Equipment
The following ships are being earmarked for project focus:
DN Arcturus - Pending Acquisition
Status
The current status of this project is:
ACQUISITION
This project is currently awaiting the proper materials, or is still in preliminary stages pending asset retrieval.

Update: Week 147 Profile: Trch. Amy West
Subject: Barrier Rim Recon
Details
Recon update, usual fare. No material located this time, although background emissions in Sector E9.3c were promising.
Sector F10.2b - Residual background emissions, but nothing with signatures matching Arcturus or Last Sunrise. Cruiser signatures most likely, might be a lead on Damocles; Will keep sector in mind should future analysis turn up promising.
Sector F10.2c - Similar to F10b. Residual emissions, but fainter, which is interesting. Implies nebula is absorbing emissions, but timescale is wrong. Will require further analysis.
Sector E9.3c - Very clear emissions residuals, and heavy enough to match both ships. Concerning that such clear emissions accompany no such debris, implying that one or both ships escaped their pursuers. Will have Onyx do a deeper scan of this sector for further analysis to be certain.

Update: Week 149 Profile: Trch. Amy West
Subject: Barrier Rim Recon
Details
Normal flights, Sector E9.2c very promising. Recovery of gunboat asset likely, either as ship or parts. Both useful.
Sector E9.3c - Onyx confirmed no definitive physical evidence. Flight leader request for further emissions trailing approved, results below.
Sector E9.2c - Confirmed discovery of Gladius gunboat wreck, hull number HFGB-287, Bitter Blade. Edgy. Onyx formally requested boarding freighter dispatched on next flyout. Approved. Solid lead on Last Sunrise. Extent dependent on results of boarding op.
Sector F9b - Emissions trail intermixing with interstellar matter, no solid lead within this region. 'Waste of fuel', says Onyx FL. Won't argue.

Update: Week 161 Profile: Trch. Amy West
Subject: Barrier Rim Recon & Update for HFGB Bitter Blade
Details
Allowed resumption of exploration flights once things in Inverness calmed down. Onyx reported boarding of HFGB-287, and uncovered solid leads on both Last Sunrise and Arcturus, as well as their escorts. Gunboat salvageable, will have it towed to El Alto for repair and repressurization.
Additional flights as noted below.
Sector E9.1c - Derelict strikecraft located, but no sign of identified warships. Pilots recovered for burial, vessels earmarked for capture.
Sector F10.2a - Cruiser emissions, faint but present. Evidence from F10.2b/c indicates a direction. Will have Onyx investigate further once discovered assets are secure.

This is it! This is the breakthrough I've fucking needed for years! A damn shame it wasn't Onyx that found it, but one of Rev's boys near Elgin. Jesus Christ, I'm actually shaking.
I'm gonna let the bot pull what info it can from the probe over the day, but holy shit, this is the breakthrough.
Techies who brought it in says it was linked back to the mothership. God, I fucking hope so.
I might actually scream.

So much to go over. Packets and packets of information, all of it gonna lead me to my baby.
Seems this thing was a scout probe, and was one of fourteen sent out by the Arcturus to locate three people: Me, Knight, and Linford. Guess whoever or whatever's got head over the ship decided to look for the old leadership. Makes sense. What doesn't is why it waited four years to do it, and why it didn't prioritize the rendezvous, especially with how damaged the ship seems to be from the records I was able to pull.
Thing is, probe had a direct link back to the ship itself, but I guess my own paranoia is working against me here and the VI onboard severed any tracing links through the probe's transmitter. Clever thing. Still, I at least have records from the probe's journey, and what origins I could trace led back to F10.2b, between Cortez and Magellan. Not a great lead, and we've already searched that region, but I may have Onyx go back through to check for recent emissions. Whatever has my ship is using it actively.
I need to go back through my contingencies and see if there's anything that lines up. Could be the VI going fritzo; It's been plenty long enough, and I wasn't nearly as thorough back then as I am now. Still, this is a hell of a lot better than what I had a week ago.

I think I slept three hours last night. No time for rest when she's out there, clawing at the door.
Went through my contingencies before.. eh, let's call it a nap. A lot of paranoid bullshit, back and forth wanton nonsense about backups for Knight bringing down the purge hammer on Linford and I, Leniex being hit by some stupid superweapon or something, and a bunch of other batshit crazy wunderwaffe bull. Man, I really was nuts back then.
I think I know why it didn't hit the rendezvous, though.
Data from the ship's emissions tell me she's running on fumes. Might've tried bashing that civvie base out of desperation, cause I know they make their own supply there. No repairs, no fuel, I'm genuinely impressed she's even moving at all with how shit her 'sitch is. Must've been tailed a lot longer than planned after Duskstorm. Libbies see one of their own ships, they latch onto it like a tick.
I'm going to give Ward the go-ahead to let the old lady out. Also gonna head down with the group she's deploying to Vespucci to get a figure on things. Gonna take Scott with me, see if we can't give it a go ourselves. If it's her, I should be able to access her internals without much hassle. Here's hoping time's been kind to my little guy. MILO always was my favorite of the bunch.

Gonna work on a full re-dox of this project. Ward and the gang pulled some shit, pulled my ass out of the fire, and got the ship moved into a safe space within the Freeport's grid to prep for transit back to Inverness. Lost Scott, but I'll make his sacrifice worth it.
She's gonna need work. A lot of it. Hull's breached in who knows how many places, air's gone, core's sapped, CRANE's offline; It's gonna take me a fat minute to get this baby working again, and I don't even have Leniex to get her up and running this time.
Once the headache subsides and the swelling dies down, I'm gonna get to work piecing together all the problems the old girl's dragged with her. She looked like shit from the outside, and looked like hell on the in. After that, I'll start drafting up a plan on how to get her back home without provoking too much attention.
She's gonna be a pain in the neck, but it'll be worth it to see her chugging again.

Update: Week 197 Profile: Trch. Amy West
Subject: Post-Op Analysis
Details
Headache's gone, but the bruises and swelling are still kind of bad; Not enough to stop me from working, though.
Got a team in from El Alto to help look through the halls. Not a lot, maybe four or five guys, but more eyes combing the interior are gonna help me get things logged. So far, looks like all hands went down. Found Captain Lordling and her team on the bridge, gruesome sight. Logs tell me they died of oxygen deprivation and CO2 toxicity, probably from the life support kicking out. No sign of her XO, though I doubt it's any more pretty than this is.
Sent a team to check on the ship's cloak field generator, though I'm still waiting on a report. Sounds like CRANE had it working when it attacked the Freeport, so maybe there's something salvageable there. If not, then getting her back to El Alto without stirring up too much trouble is going to be a pain in the neck.
Gonna take a nap before I start the Deck 7 check. Maybe by then Corcoran will have that report ready.

Getting a post-op update in before I drop on the cushions. The painkillers didn't do shit, and I left that scene with even more bruises.
But she's home. She's finally home.
I owe the kids a case of snacks, maybe a night on the town or something. The gang pulled through, and now the real work begins.
Struikas had some trouble with the engines after she made Cortez. Seemed like it worked itself out after they cleared the engagement zone, but I'll need to make sure I look at the logs when I'm back up. No extra hits, though. Kept the fuckers occupied long enough they never got a shot off.
I'm gonna lie down. The headache is flaring up again, and I'm gonna try another round of meds. Better ones this time, not the shit they sold me down south.
West, out.
