Hoping someone can help me figure out what's going on.
removed old Freelancer install via uninstall
deleted Fl folder in documents
Downloaded and installed both FL & Disco fresh.
patched & launch fine
inital connect to server (character screen), create character & load
get kicked ("connection to server has been lost")
Rinse repeat.
I've tried a couple fresh FL-ID's just incase,
1) leo_fett
2) #edit - correction, this one is whiteyknight
@ leo_fett, I hope I'm not crashing your help request and that your issue has been resolved, I'm here with what I think is the same problem.
To say.....
I have just experienced the same problem after creating a new account in my Discovery Launcher. I launched Freelancer using the new account in DL and created a new character for it in Freelancer, but when I tried to enter the game using the new character, I received the message "connection to the server has been lost....." exactly the same as in the screen shot that Sombs posted above except there was no mention of multi boxing on the left hand side of the "connection lost" screen, just the usual Welcome to Discovery Freelancer script per Sombs screenie.
I have never had this problem before and tried a couple of other ships from other accounts within my Discovery Launcher with the same outcome.
I checked my Norton anti virus and both Launcher and Freelancer are on the "allowed" list in the Firewall Program control settings and checking the Forum there were about 30 other players in game, so the server was not down.
So, I'm at a bit of a loss, could someone please help with this issue?
Cheers, and thanks for your time
Edit: Fixed by temporarily disabling Norton and performing a full reinstall of Freelancer original game and Discovery
Hello, I'm experiencing the same issue on my end as well. I've tried reinstalling everything numerous times, disabled my firewall and what not. Issue still is persist unfortunately
