Character's biography: Born on Planet Manhattan to a family of wealthy industrialists, Dr. Victor Kaine had a privileged upbringing that afforded him access to the finest education Liberty could provide. He pursued advanced studies in bioengineering and genetics at the University of Cambridge, where his research on human biology pushed the ethical boundaries of medical science. Fascinated by the darker corners of medical service, Victor returned to Liberty to work as a medic on Sugarland.

At Sugarland, Victor’s methods took a sinister turn. With an endless supply of prisoners, he began conducting unauthorized experiments, using the inmates as test subjects for his genetic research. His focus shifted toward understanding the effects of prolonged Cardamine exposure and developing experimental treatments—not to cure but to exploit and control. Many prisoners, particularly those with Outcast ties, mysteriously disappeared under Victor’s care, feeding rumors of horrific experiments in the station’s restricted medical bays.

Victor’s growing obsession with unlocking the secrets of Cardamine addiction and his disdain for ethical constraints have made him an outcast in legitimate medical circles. However, he sees Cryer Pharmaceuticals as the perfect opportunity to continue his work without interference, pushing the limits of medical science under the guise of corporate research.
