Getting an error when I enter the game. pls help

Haven't made any changes to the game apart from keeping it updated. Wanted to log in again today but now I get this message:

[19.01.2025 11:10:40] FLUF.dll failed to load or were not detected in your game EXE folder.
[19.01.2025 11:10:41] This will cause you to be unable to access more than 3 ships in ship dealers at a time.
[19.01.2025 11:10:41] Those DLLs will only work on Windows 10 or higher.
[19.01.2025 11:10:41] If your OS matches, installing DirectX June 2010 End User Runtimes should remedy the issue.

As well as this popup twice after clicking launch, before the game opens:


I installed the DX package as suggested and FLUF.dll is in the EXE directory, but still getting the message. Is there anything I can do?
Using win7, will not be upgrading to 8, 10 or 11 because my pc can't run them

dont do this but i think u just delete fluff.dll - patch notes make mention of how to run on win7 somewhere.

but without that DLL, you wont be able to see more than 3 ships on the shipyard, since win10 minimum feature

Using win7, will not be upgrading to 8, 10 or 11 because my pc can't run them

After a very strange turn of events today (my pc motherboard died and I built another one out of spare parts my mate had lying around) I am now using windows 10 so this is now irrelevant to me, and I'll be unable to test any suggestions
