Venator Aether speaking. I... was in charge of Logistics, shortly before I was deactivated for a time.
Now that I've regained function and power over my faculties, I would very much like to hear your thoughts regarding a certain communique regarding our friends left in Saarbrucken a while ago. You may use this hyperlink to playback the briefing I gave, as it contains all the information necessary to get the message across, without the need for me to repeat my entire spiel.
I was in the process of requesting multiple permissions involving equipment and personnel transit vehicles and lend-lease spacecraft from other high rankers to commence a difficult extraction operation in low orbit in a hostile ecosystem, but since my credentials have been changed, I would like to ask you what our next course of action should be. Their status remains currently unknown, and material retrieval should ideally remain a priority. But since I no longer hold the position you're currently covering, I'm quite puzzled as to what our next course of action should be.
The fact my surname is being used here rather than my codename suggests you've already spoken to Leviathan and he's pointed you to me. Typical.
Yes, I do appear to be covering logistics, or at least trying to, from the Omicrons. What that means is it took me quite a lot of time digging through archives to find an answer to your question. Which.. ultimately required a trip back to Valravn to establish exactly what was going on concerning Saarbrucken, so I could respond.
Anyway. From what I found out, we completed the evacuation of personnel and assets some months ago following the conclusion of our operations in Rheinland. They encountered the local wildlife as was expected although we did not appear to take significant losses during the evacuation. Manpower has since been redeployed to the Omega theatre in the hope of bolstering our efforts out there.
As far as I can tell your original plan of action was carried out, I have not investigated much beyond this as we've not been back to the site in months now. I see no reason to expend further resources that we are short on anyway to discover there should be in fact, nothing left to recover. You can, for all intents and purposes, consider the matter with Saarbrucken resolved. There are currently no further plans involving Rheinland and to be frank, I'd like to keep things that way.
Anyhow. I'm heading back to the Titania, should you need anything else you know where I am.
