Sehr Direktorin Freiya Wolf,

We are requesting your help in a matter that should have already been resolved.

Two weeks ago, one of our employees, Oberaufseher Bruno von Bommel, was the victim of an attempt from an ALG ship to impede one of our convoy, which was of paramount importance.

During the encounter, the ALG ship made physical contact with our Colossus, endangering the life of our pilot, and the shipment of the convoy. This consists in a clear violation of Article 2.4.1 of the Rheinland Laws : "Piracy is defined as the attempt and/or intent to unlawfully stop the lawful transit of any goods or the performance of legal services for gain, or to facilitate in the aforementioned actions as accessories to acts of piracy."

Oberauseher von Bommel was obviously frustrated by the event, and asked the perpetrator to: "watch where [they were going], dammit". I understand that this is not a diplomatic approach to a potential conflict; but I invite you to put yourself into Oberauseher von Bommel's shoes, and understand the actions of the perpetrator as a clear threat to the life of the pilot and the shipment it was transporting.

The answer of the offender was on some other level. "Monarchist scum" were the exact words pronounced by them. The pilot of the Graz then proceded to disable the trade lanes Oberauseher von Bommel was about to use, another breach of Rheinland Laws, Article 2.5.2: "The tampering or disabling of Rheinland Infrastructure, such as trade lanes or jump gates."

On the recommendation of our legal counsel, Oberauseher von Bommel contacted the perpetrator to obtain reparation from the offender. The answer, as were the words of the pilot of the Graz during the encounter, is also qualified as hate speech: "Monarchist scum". Again, another violation of Rheinland Laws, Article 2.5.1: "Subversion is to be defined as an umbrella term encompassing all felony tier offenses that are contrary to orders issued by lawful Rheinland authorities. Such offenses include but are not limited to: [...] unprotected speech deemed inflammatory against the formerly Imperialist and Federalist factions of the civil war."

Daumann Heavy Construction understands that hatred does not come and go easily, and that relationships need time to evolve and get back to a more cold-headed state. We deem Oberauseher von Bommel has been reasonable enough, and to his credit, he has handled himself particularly well given the consequences this incident could have had.

On the other hand, ALG is refusing to take responsibility for the acts of their pilot, and delve into hate speech when things does not go their way. We have tried to handle the situation as peacefully as we could, but it remains ineffective. As such, we are requesting your legal intervention and arbitration in this matter.

Best regards,

Gerrit Weiss,
Senior Legal Counsel,
Daumann Heavy Construction.
