The Awashima-Maru marks an important step for our company by enabling our logistical endeavors to project themselves into spaceborne operations beyond the weight class of freighters. Whilst maintenance costs and the need to sub-contract larger companies might turn into an issue in the long run, the flexibility and safety offered by this vessel-class already improved our Interspace insurance policy. To our luck, the previous owners were not willing to risk their investment and ran out of funds, leaving them but no choice than to offer the vessel at a fine price to interested parties.

Nikkyo Consortium Access Code recognized: Acquisition of the vessel turned out to be too much of a hassle just for us to pawn it off now. Sera-sama agreed to our proposal to let the vessel run through our shell companies logs yet see direct usage by the Consortium. Bristol Constructions is already distrusting us, so there is little to jeopardize here to begin with should they ever catch a whiff of the situation and the previous owners are hardly in a position to file any legal complaints either anymore. The dead cannot fill out the required documents after all. Utilizing a falsified Interspace ID Number is risky and Samura cannot officially issue an insurance for the vessel too but the vessel is not meant to operate far away from home to begin with. It remains a financial liability but should the vessel perform adequately for its new intended role, it is very much worth more to us than selling it off to a friendly third party. We are yet to find a solution for matters of maintenance, though we suspect that Samura will be able to provide us with sufficient improvisation skills whilst the Farmer Alliance will gladly share some drydock space in return of decent payments.
