Name: Percy Shimada
Character Summary: Born to a Libertonian-Kusari family of wealthy means, Percy is an archetypical rich kid rebel seeking life far away from their former background. They were raised with their entire life planned out for them, expected to be an heir to an emerging import business dynasty. To this end, Percy was educated in the essentials of the industry and further expected to obtain hands-on experience on a family-owned freighter. Frequent spats and disagreements with their parents led to fantasies about leaving, and fantasies led to plans. After graduating from flight school on Planet Los Angeles and captaining their first ship, they spared little time in turning the ship for the skies and never looking back. In the succeeding years, they have made a middling living from running supplies in the Border Worlds for Freeport quartermasters and small shipping firms. However, with a taste of the frontier life given to them, Percy grew to appreciate the Zoners and even count themself as one of them. The emerging crises plaguing Zoners in Omicron Theta and Pennsylvania, along with recent successes by more militant groups in the Edge Worlds, had emboldened them and motivated them to join up with the Militant movement.
Why do you fight the good fight, the Zoner fight? "Freedom is more precious than life itself. The Houses seem to fear what we have going on, and keep trying to squash that freedom wherever it rises up. Liberty's hardly deserving of the name, and they need to be reminded of that. I won't shy away from giving them a taste of what they've given to us and paying them back for our losses. We'll never forget the Pinnacle, Canaria, Erie, Freeport 9... and we'll make sure they won't, either."
What have you done to prove you have what it takes? "I've flown supply missions in plenty of dangerous spaces and managed to pull out of it with my skin and cargo intact. Plenty of scrapes, too. Any Zoner worth their salt could probably have what it takes if they cared enough. We're built like that."

Percy's contact slowly nods, giving the odd grunt of approval. As Percy finishes recounting their past and sharing their motivations, they pick up the device. Pressing a button on it's readout, they hold it to their ear.

"Mhm... right." They glance in Percy's direction as they set the device back down. A smirk breaks out on their lips as they reach into a pocket, take out a small coin and offer it to Percy. "You're in, Percy Shimada. Use this to prove who you are when folks need to know. Now... how about a drink? We've got time to celebrate before instructions come in..."
