Wanted to shoot you a quick message about some stuff I witnessed last night. As I’m sure you’re already aware of AIWV-Helios—has been loitering around Inverness again. You saw firsthand how it’s been ignoring generally accepted House Law protocols and treating LN personnel like background noise. But what happened last night kinda left me scratching my head.
Helios turned up outside Planet Manhattan. Just… hovering. No cloak, no subtlety. Liberty naval forces kind of just let it sit there for a bit. Instead shoot first ask second, they gave it a mild escort out of New York space. But here’s the kicker: six Navy vessels showed up. Not a standard patrol either a full on ass kicking force including LSF.
That level of mobilization is surprising given the lack of force lately. Between Helios and Task Force Prometheus I think Liberty’s getting itchy. And if a strike into Inverness does happen yikes. Combine that with even a temporary alignment between LN and this wandering AI, and we’re staring down a very volatile situation.
Now for the weirdest part... the AI was talking with freelancers and it was... casual. Like actual street-level banter. They explained the human concept of food, and Helios claimed it could “ingest platinum.” Said it with full sincerity. Either it’s got a bizarre self-repair routine, or it’s starting to mimic human behavior without understanding context either way a bit discomforting considering its a sizeable Capital ship. Perhaps TFP should consider attempting a take over of the Ai before it decides to ally completely with Liberty.
Might be time to keep a closer watch. I appreciate our new found allies but I also believe they're setting us up for a path we may not be able to win.
