It has been a little while since our natter in Magellan, musing on the state of the Sirius we live in. Since then we've begun hearing tales from friends on the Omicron Freeports that there's a major conflict stirring. Corsair's massing on Freeport Nine. Kusarian merchants and Core haulers all competing for a share in a new market boom.
Considering how you're a 'concerned citizen', I'd wager you've been keeping you eyes on the feeds. We know what it is they're taking, but do you know where it is all going?
Good to see you survived your ship's unscheduled deconstruction. Those railgun slugs sure did a number on the Accord, from what I could see.
I may have an idea as to what is going where, but before I reveal any such potentially valuable information to you, let me ask: What is it to you? Looking to get in on the action and earn a few credits for the cause? Or are you interested in punching back at Liberty and the other houses by disrupting a very specific market? Your answer determines whether I clue you in or not.
Yes, quite. That engagement proved quite the setback. We were fortunate we had allies in the area to tug what remained of the Accord to safety for repair. To survive and learn from the engagement is a blessing we ain't gonna squander.
I was hoping you'd share what you might know about the Corsair's shipping movements so we could deal a blow to the oppressors of Freeport Nine. By the way you're talking though it sounds like Liberty has a stake in this game. That the case?
If so, you know the answer is going to involve 'punching back' at them.
Of course Liberty has a stake in this. It's hardly a secret that the Libertonian upper class - same as that of any other house - is rather obsessed with its many fine collections of artifacts they can't even begin to comprehend. This latest boom, however, doesn't seem to be heading for the usual better-off black market dealers and their financially overburdened clients. Instead, shipments are being delivered straight to Norfolk Shipyard by Core convoys. As a concerned citizen, I for one don't like the idea of the Liberty Navy getting its grubby hands on these potentially dangerous alien goods.
