I'm Commander-Elect Leyshon representing the crew of The Accord. We're made up of Zoners and displaced citizens of Sirius who have had enough of being pushed around. Freeport deckhands. Erie Refuges. Canarian farmers. We've stolen ourselves a cruiser and we're all keen to stick it to'em to protect what's left of our homes.
We take that fight where we're needed. Right now that's weakening Cretan control on Freeport Nine, protecting Bethlehem, and liberating Erie... or at least making the Libs pay dearly for it.

Simply put, we're screwed.
There has been no word from high command for weeks. We've lost way too many good people. Unlike Liberty's marines, we don't get a 3-to-6 month deployment and then we're back home with a chest full of medals. Some of us have been fighting since Pesticide was go.
For certain we have no lack of wounded, sick, traumatized and the defeated. I've lost about half of my crew since then. I'm filling positions with criminals and mercenaries just so we don't crumble.
I don't blame them. Fighting humanity's largest navy will crush anyone. We don't have the guns, nor the numbers to make a real change. I'll be honest - we're all waiting on a miracle here.
Your gesture of help is appreciated, but you'd be placing flowers over a dying dog.
Me and the rest of my Zoner crew will keep fighting until we're eventually killed off. We can't return to normal lives now. We're way past that point.
...it is harrowing to hear the situation is so dire, BARBARIAN-Actual. To stand up to Liberty's finest take courage. To survive this long, determination and skill. We shall not forget what you have sacrificed to protest Liberty's injust actions.
May I try to convince you to choose a path other than matyrdom? There are peoples across Sirius who cry out for liberation from oppression. The heroes of Erie could play a part.

That's a funny thought, commander.
Those who were "convinced" already left. Most became criminals feeding off the streets in Erie. Some are now wearing mercenary fits. Heard a few of my guys made into the Omicrons, even.
What's left for us? We've probably had all our bank accounts frozen and our homes turned over by now. What's there to go back to? Nothing.
Me? I only know fighting. Same applies to those under my orders. They're numbed. You should see the look in their eyes... To imagine their friends or family were taken into these camps... I can't imagine what's going on behind those stares.
Shit. I think we're lanesmen ourselves. We looted a DSE transport the other day... We should be taking the fight to the Navy.
Our only hope is for something to happen at Liberty's borders so the Navy gets distracted, giving us some space to regroup. That's about it.
