Well, your intel ain't wrong. Uhmen reached out to the Gov' and requested total operational independency for both the Akhetaten and the task force. It would seem that as things stand right now we're directly coordinating with LSF and are deployed in the Inverness-Ontario zone and surrounding systems - including Galileo, actually.

I hope you take no offense or harbor any hard feelings for what fiesta's are going to follow. You must be duly aware that the Xenos are one of our highest priority targets.

But hey, your concern's touching, to say the least. Rest assured that we're not without support out there though. As for getting cut off due to unforeseen circumstances, the Akhetaten is very well equipped to handle such scenarios. The battlecruiser was never designed to operate as a mainline warship, anyway, it's made to be able to operate independently and far from home. At least for a while longer and with way less concerns than your standard, regular Navy crap.

But yeah, everything's just peachy! I had an unprecedented and narrowly prevented perimeter breach by the nomads which got followed up by your ship and assorted strikecraft. Seems to me like the LSF just doesn't want to do any of the fighting here anymore and are instead getting busy with what their statements of defense will be back on Manhattan.

You're being used. But you probably know that.

This is just going to get your people killed for little to no material gain. A single ship can only hope to delay whatever it is the LSF thinks we're up to. When the reality of the situation is that their poking around on Sudbury is probably going to make the Texas incident look like a kid's cartoon.

I've suspected for some time now that LSF Command and the Government at large is compromised. This probably started with the Alaskan civil war and was never rooted out because nobody else picked up on it or bothered to check. And now it's probably too late to do anything about it.

Sudden warmongering and aggressive military action.

Sounds familiar. Guess we'll finally get the long awaited sequel to the colony war.

Being used is one way to put it, for sure. I like to think things through with a different approach though. LSF are the eyes and ears and we are the firepower. As much as they like to brag - and don't get me wrong, they have all the reasons to brag - the firepower of Task Force Akhetaten is still nothing to scoff at.

Sudbury is a rather interesting specimen, and so are things in Coronado like Jericho or that "inactive" alien gate that isn't as inactive as you'd think.

And well, if your assumption truly is correct, I suppose we're in for quite the joyride, huh?

I trust Uhmen. In fact, I trust her with my life. If any of what you say was to ever be revealed as the truth, I truly believe she'd turn the world upside down to see the Akhetaten and her crew through the chaos that will unfold.
