It's been three weeks since the mutiny took place, former Captain Scott Tremblay made sure to wipe clean all the logbooks while he was sabotaging the ship during all the ruckus, unfortunately for us he was more successful at it than I'd like to admit. His parting gift is a challenge I'm willing to take, and so is the rest of the remaining crew, we must make sure that whenever blood spills it must be worth it.
That being said the morale is higher than usual, in part because it seems our search for assistance is bearing fruit.
Alright... Xenos, the one former ally that our leadership pissed off more than anyone else back then. The outcome from requesting assistance from the Liberty Free Republic ended more or less as I expected... I could guess that the lot from Steel Circle would be eager to tell us to beat it and die, we've earned that treatment to some extent. I would've been far more concerned if Cobra agreed to come in our aid, the man seems to be the kind of guy that wouldn't hesitate to kill a whole crew to prove a point, and it was the ship what they could've been interested in, not us.
Anyhow, we're getting some positive outcomes now, finally. This is why I like to keep multiple doors open, we were lucky to cross paths with one of those Technocrat leaders, a former legionnaire no less. Navarch Leviathan seems to be far more sympathetic with us, but considering the discussion he had with one of our pilots it doesn't seem like his heart is all that involved with domestic affairs, so long as they don't directly interfere with their scientific research. Seems like the man gave up on fighting a revolution a long time ago, or that's my first impression, maybe that's why he was so eager to help us like he helped the Legion remnants from Prometheus, I wouldn't be surprised if he feels guilty for turning his back and is trying to do the right thing now.
Nonetheless I think he's our most valuable ally right now, and it'll remain as such until the Petronius is combat-ready, I hope Commander Amy West is as eager to help as he is, she has the final word in this whole thing.
It seems Bristol's curiosity is enough that they might indulge in assisting us as well, if we're enough convincing. I honestly had in mind trying to involve them in restoring the vessel but I would've expected them to turn that offer right away, too much hassle... That being said, I know they have a reputation at being resourceful and accepting reasonable jobs without making questions, which is what we'll do once the Petronius leaves the drydock, they could give a personal touch on the bays that'll come handy in our operations.
Speaking of that, I gotta start talks with the crew soon enough to pick a better name for the vessel, I think it's fitting given the circumstances.
