Foreign Affairs Minister - Toshinori Kojirou
To our esteemed Bretonian friends.
It has been several years since I last reached out to you and I wish it was to happen under much more pleasant circumstances. As you are surely aware of, the Empire of Kusari and the Republic of Liberty are entangled in ongoing legal disputes over exploitation rights for Platinum reserves found within the Galileo system.
These unresolved issues, alongside various long-term factors, led to a massive spike of tensions between us and House Liberty. Due to repeated breach of protocol by vessels belonging to the Liberty Navy, reaching up to the direct violation of trespassing into our sovereign territory with patrol wings and two officially confirmed skirmishes resulting due to Libertorian provocations, our nations are at the brink of open conflict.
Whilst House Kusari will never abandon diplomacy in favor of the application of direct force, we are preparing for the worst case already. We wish to assure our Bretonian partners that our commitments in the Tau region and to the Dublin Bridge will still be fulfilled and hope for the Kingdom of Bretonia to stay at our side as partners, resisting the inevitable pressure the Republic will force upon you in attempts to undermine our mutually fruitful cooperation. As we are aware of the Kingdoms complex relations to the Republic, we will refrain from asking for you to condemn Liberty's recent actions and would suggest you not to do so at your own accord either.
If there is anything you wish to discuss in these trying times, please do not hesitate to reach out.
With utmost respect,
Imperial Foreign Affairs Minister,
Toshinori Kojirou
