1. Overview

"Apotheosis" is the codename for a top-secret, privately-funded Corsair black project spearheaded by the Advanced Research Section (ARES). This weapon represents an extreme fusion of Daam-K'Vosh and human technologies, joined together through advanced biosynthetic engineering.

2. Design, Core Systems

The weapon's body is constructed from maximum-grade superalloys, with interior plating and shielding constructed from a composite of iridium and depleted uranium. Dominating its upper section is a large, tiered array of activated artifacts. This primary array, directly powered by the vessel's main reactor, generates a controlled and contained dark energy field, providing both structural stability and immense power to all secondary systems.

Recessed towards the rear, lies "The Interface": a suspended artificial human brain. Encased within an advanced containment unit, The Interface receives electrical input via shielded superconducting wires, translating it into precise commands for the artifact arrays. It serves as the primary control mechanism, dictating vertical traverse, power regulation, and weapon firing.

Suspended by the dark energy field on either side of the main body are two independent arms, each housing a smaller activated artifact array. While their casings are crafted from composite alloys, the arm hulls themselves are forged from salvaged xenoalloy, sourced from both the Napo Cloud and various artifact dig sites, including the planet Knossos. Magnetic accelerators span the length of these arms, shaping and focusing the weapon's immense energy into a devastating, concentrated beam.

3. Hazards

The Interface is a potent source of psionic radiation (Ψ, "psis"), emitting upwards of 12 Ψ/h. Unprotected exposure is catastrophic: cognitive decline begins within five minutes (1Ψ), escalating to total nervous breakdown after just twenty minutes (4Ψ).

The main artifact array, when activated, unleashes an extremely dangerous, oscillating radiation pulse lasting a mere seven milliseconds. Hourly energy emissions from this pulse range from 15.000 to 20.000 millisieverts (mSv), a lethal dose for any unprotected life form.
