"Konnichiwa sir or madam,"

"Please forgive my poor pronounciation. Always worth giving it the old college try I say but I'm the first to admit it's the accent that always stumps me. Not enough practice, I would wager."

"Anyway, I'm contacting you to declare my intentions of travelling through Kusarian house space for personal business on Planet Honshu. I request a travel permit for myself and an aide in order to do so, and I'm a believer of keeping such things above board."

"With that said, perhaps this may be a splendid opportunity for a little catch up on recent goings on. A 'hara o watte hansu' with regards to Galileo or the Gallic war perhaps, amongst the myriad of other topics our two peoples currently wrestle with?"

"Either way, do be sure to let me know. I eagerly await your response."

"Yours Sincerely, Lady E.Cromwell"

Lady Cromwell.

A declaration of intent to travel in this day and age, how very curious and charming. You have succeeded in grasping some of my lately very limited time, Lady Cromwell. Admirable.

In the light of our ever growing partnership with the Kingdom, such a declaration is hardly required anymore. Naturally this is assuming that you do not intent to make the journey in a full-fledged warship, in that case your declaration of intent remains the fashionable course of action.

As for the little pleasant exchange you suggest, I am afraid that we'll refrain from any comments surrounding the Galileo situation. As for the Gallic war or rather our own actions following the collapse of the Royal frontlines within Sirius, a catch up is more than a feasible option. Please be so kind and forward me distinct points of your interest, for as I've mentioned, my time is unfortunately of very limited nature due to all these unfortunate recent developments.

With utmost respect,
Imperial Foreign Affairs Minister,
Toshinori Kojirou

"Toshinori Kojirou, it is an honour and pleasure meeting you... and fear not! You have my word that you shan't wake up one cycle to hear tales of a Dunkirk class blighting the skies of Honshu. My aide and I shall be journeying via more modest means."

"I shall be respectful of your busy schedule and cut straight to the heart of the matters forthwith."

"I speak to the growing concerns of number of members of the Court and representatives of Her Majesty's parliament. I can only do so by transgressing the clear boundary you set on the topic of Galileo. Do forgive me, for the two topics walk hand in hand, but know I do so in good faith and not brash incivility."

"Naturally, we're all keen to see a conclusion to the conflict with Gallia. The breathing room necessary to take stock, recuperate, and rebuild is a prospect I'd wager we'd both be keen to see come to pass. Currently, the policy of containing the Gallians has sufficed in maintaining security until an accord or breakthrough can be reached with them. A costly endeavour, but thus far effective."

"I, and some of my compatriots, harbour concerns about the impact both the quarrel over Galileo and this sudden development in the Coronado system may have on our joint capability of maintaining that containment. As Kusarian resources are diverted to your Libertonian border, as the Crayterian Republic responds to the crisis in their front yard, will the Kingdom find itself alone? Perhaps the Gallic Union may feel emboldened in eschewing peace. Perhaps renewed in their vigour to continue the conflict."

"I am neither in the position nor have the inclination to petition the Empire on it's response to the situation in Galileo. What I do wish to petition you for is reassurance that we can continue to count on our effective partnership. Can I and those who share this concern count on the Empire's continued presence in the Gallic theatre regardless of events in Galileo, Toshinori-san?"

"Yours Sincerely, Lady E.Cromwell"

Lady Cromwell.

My sincerest apologies.

The past two days robbed me of what little time I would have otherwise diverted to your attention.
Rest assured that the Empire has not forgotten its obligations and commitments within the framework established under the Treaty of Harris. Naturally, we perceive similar risks as you do regarding the Gallic state and it appears convenient to discuss these matters in greater detail upon your arrival to Honshu.

As we are on the topic of your visit already, I have caught motions by several of our own representatives to potentially host a few conversations on the sidelines of your stay. In what capacity and role exactly will you be visiting us, Lady Cromwell?

With utmost respect,
Imperial Foreign Affairs Minister,
Toshinori Kojirou

"There is nothing to apologise for, Toshinori-san."

"It is reassuring to hear that we share the same concerns for the strain on our collective commitment to upholding the Treaty of Harris. I agree, such a matter is most likely best addressed with a heart to heart in person."

"I am visiting as a conscientious member of the Bretonian court seeking a proactive dialogue on these matters. As such, for the sake of clarity, I shan't be making any officious declaration or commitments on behalf of the Kingdom during my stay as those are decisions to made by Her Majesty's Parliament. Let us not let that tie us down in getting the ball rolling on hashing these things out, as our discussions will likely find their way back to those with more officious obligations."

"Yours Sincerely, Lady E.Cromwell"
