INCOMING MESSAGE

TO: Mollys and Red Hessians representatives
FROM: Helge Steinberg, Supreme Council Delegate
ENCRYPTION: HIGH

Greetings comrades,

This is Helge Steinberg, Delegate of the Supreme Council, responsible for external communications.

It has been some time since our last exchange regarding joint operations, and a recent development may concern your interests.

The Unione Corse has reestablished diplomatic communications with the Sirius Coalition, which occurred during the end years of the Gallic War. We are currently reviewing their trade proposals, as our industry in need of reliable sources for advanced components.

But given how much Gallia has changed, we cannot be entirely certain they will not obstruct plans of our Allies. That is the issue I wish to discuss.

With respect, Helge Steinberg
Sirius Coalition Supreme Council Delegate

Greetings Genosse Steinberg,

I don't think we've had the pleasure yet so I will introduce myself in a concise manner.
Alise Schira, formerly of the RHA. Currently serving as the elected commander of Kreuzergruppe Zwielicht.

Now to the matter of the Corse. I don't know what the Supreme Council wants to utilise the Corsicans for but I'd like to voice the following standpoint:
The mere fact that they have their own little haven not directly controlled by the Gallic government should let one assume that they are somehow in cahoots with each other and have been for a while. The mere circumstance of that should stand as a testament to their counter-revolutionary attitude. They are opportunistic, seizing any chance to increase their own wealth.

So to answer the question of if they will obstruct our plans? No, they won't. They are part of ours, they are targets and any of their ships we spot will be treated like any other pawn of the powers that be.

Subject: RE: The Corse

Delegate.

Over the years, the Provisional Assembly has had limited contact with the Corsicans, to be frank, our engagement has never swung one way or the other.
They have, on occasion, shown themselves hostile to us, but often they've only been concerned with matters of trade that, depending on the time, has been oft needed.

The Gallia of today is far from the beast of the Gallic War, though our contact with all of its parts suggest they still seem somewhat hostile to the rest of us, but most of all to the powers that we are all fighting - a hostility that will, i am sure, turn on us should we become the dominant powers -, and to my eyes the Corse seem little more than black market tenders and an accepted criminal element of the state, to be frank with you.
Exchange with them as you wish, the Assembly is not in the habit of holding its allies responsible for their choice of contacts - with the exceptions of Bretonia and the bloody minded Corsairs, of course. - nor am i inclined to make a hypocrite of myself by suggesting you cant take such deals where neccesary, hard battles have brought unfavourable alliances on us all over time.

If they decide to become a more dedicated problem in future, we will handle it and forward the fact to you to evaluate from there.

Respectfully.

Jac Yarwood
