Is it just me who are to sentimental?

Just asking, could ships like the M-26 "lunchbox" and RM-1 Destroyer be sold at a junker base in some far out system at a high price with downgraded energy and hull???? (maby even less turrets).

I am kinda in love with the idea of flying a second hand pice of junk ship, old and worn out
and not that good in combat. + who can't like the homeworld stolen destroyer? or the ever pirateing lunchbox. I bet it's not only me who been pirated 100+ times by evil sairs around o3 in what all said was
an overpowered gb.

You mean you liked having a Hunter Battlecruiser in NY, or an Osiris for that matter?

Fun for you, if you're the OORPer who doesn't care about RP.

Not fun for those who truly RP. If you want to fly around in a big cap going to places where it's -not- supposed to be, then you're on the wrong server, mate.

And, BillG8s, those ships were replaced because they were imports. Well, not sure about the Lunchbox, but the new Corsair GB is a wonderful sight.

The old Corsair GB was pretty iconic. If it was an import then I guess I have to hate it, but it wasn't really noticeably horrifically ugly and disgusting in every way (like the homeworld fighters) or obviously an import (bounty hunter star wars caps) or both (firefly). That, combined with it's rusty mess colouring and no-nonsense style of construction (well, the handle was nonsense), give it a solid shout at being sold on some junker base somewhere. Maybe replace that zoner gunboat that's sold on Bornholm for no reason?

Yes they were imports, but they were replaced with other ships. Not like for example the BH star wars ships who still are the same ship (name and such) but just changed texture.

The RM-1 and m-26 are still mentioned on some ship infocards as just beeing outdated and old, replaced by new ships.
Would be nice with a few of them old ones around (with lower stats few will fly them anyway).

Once again, Bill, they were replaced -because- they were imports, pertaining to the RM-1.

Discovery is stepping towards being completely Freelancer oriented, and less outside influences of other games, therefore the reduction and deletion of import models.

Stop this already.

Discovery is NOT the cesspool of Sci-fi. It's an expansion of Freelancer, the import ships were added at a time when the community didn't have ship modellers. This has been said before in previous threads, it shouldn't be ignored.

If you want a Homeworld ship, play Homeworld.
If you want a Lunchbox, play Star Wars: Empire at War.

Those import models break the immersion of Discovery, and make it feel very amateurish. ALL of them need to go, sooner or later.
