OPERATIONAL REPORT:CORSICA SHIPYARD, DRYDOCK C-2 USE AUTHORIZATION:C-2 ENGINEERING DIRECTOR JOSE TARANTELLA OPERATION SUBJECT:JCV-TARANCON ; COALITION "HURRICANE" BATTLECRUISER
Primary Report: Initial damage records: 17 Major Hull Breaches, 81 Minor Hull Breaches, Energy System Failure, Propulsion System Failure, Interior Structure Depressurization, Interior Structure Failure, Reactor Core Supercritical Failure.
Custom List ; "Things that the Junkers repaired out in Minor" : 17 Major Hull Breaches, 81 Minor Hull Breaches, Propulsion System, Interior Depressurization, Reactor Core.
Written Report:
"These Junkers work fast. The ship, as they brought it, seems to not have actually been functional. Sure, it could fly, and it could fire its guns maybe once or twice, but it was really a paper tiger. They ripped out the entire conduit system and had the ship rewired in less than a day. They stripped the thing like madmen, singing these songs in Coalition language, and once they had put together a blueprint for rewiring it, they put it back together just as fast."
Written Report:
"I've carried out a few intermittent inspections. Junkers have a reputation, after all.
They were very cooperative, including assisting us in locating portions of their reactor core.
They are split into two groups, for twelve-hour shifts. Half the crew works while half sleeps, and then they switch.
Much of the material used was smelted in a modular base. Their captain, Mr. Tyatsmr, informed us that the base met roughly the same fate as the original Tarancon itself.
Nothing was found in the cargo holds."
Operational Usage: Magnetic Arms, Incision Arms, X-Ray Scanner, Depth Field Projection Scanner, Small Gamma-Wave Scanner.
Written Report:
"Judging from my most recent inspection, they're nearly finished with the repairs themselves. This was strange, given that it was only the second week, and they purchased an allowance for four, so I questioned them. The answer from both the Captain Tyatsmr, and a Lieutenant Commander by the name of Jeffry Deere was that they were studying the armor plating near where the Tsar forward cannons used to appear on Hurricanes. Apparently the weapons were considered too powerhungry for modern deployments, and Captain Tyatsmr and his crew want to see if they can stuff something else in that space, since they consider the re-plating a weakness."
Written Report:
"Something of a cultural exchange took place on the third day of the third week they were here. Some of the Santa Verna Order came through to bless and sanctify the weaponry and tools. Both the Orador and Maestro de Ceremonias were present, along with a multitude of monks. It appears that they were not informed of the Junkers presence here, and proceeded to question them of their reasoning and their knowledge of Maltese tradition.
I thought a confrontation would happen, but instead the Captain offered a demonstration of a tradition from his people, and gathered about eight of his crewmen, including himself. Two of them played on these stringed instruments, the Captain sang, and five of the crew danced for us. It was an energizing and vigorous dance, and a very nice song that went with it, which started very slow and kept getting faster and faster until the men were dancing at a ridiculous speed. They easily gathered an audience, and quite a wonderful time was had by the hands of the C-block drydocks. Though no one understood the actual lyrics of the song, I asked him, and the Captain said it was about an apple rolling down a hill.
After they had finished, the Maestro de Ceremonias offered to bless their ship, and performed el ritual del Sagrado Corazón de la Máquina for them and their ship. The rest of the day was uneventful, but that "ella bloshko" song will likely be stuck in my head for some time."
Operational Use: X-Ray Scanner, Depth Field Projection Scanner, Small Gamma-Wave Scanner, Blueprint Design Simulator.
Written Report:
"We've reached the end of the allotted time with these Junkers. They've been cooperative, and a rather enjoyable presence. They've put together some theoretical blueprints weapons to put into their ship, but they decided on nothing and prepared to leave.
Every check showed green, and we thoroughly checked their cargo. All reports are prepared to submit to Señor Harabero."
