Applicant History (short biography) - I grew up and have lived on New London for my whole life. I joined as a pilot in the Liberty Navy First Fleet in 823AS after working as a private contractor on Norfolk Shipyard(weapons systems engineer). About one year after signing on, after showing exceptional service and discipline, I was finally promoted to the rank of Commander. I served until 829AS, after which I left honourably to once again work as a private contractor, which I have been doing ever since.

Reasons for Applying - I have the necessary skills, and I do not have second thoughts before doing what must be done. My duty, even with our ally, has always been Bretonia my home. Do not confuse this for disloyalty, however. I was loyal in my time with Liberty—both to them, and to the crown..

Experience - I designed and built weapons platforms. I've flown and commanded almost every combat oriented ship in Liberty's fleet, ranging from light fighters to Interdictor-class battlecruisers, as well as transports of all sizes.

Applicant History (short biography) - Growing up during the Kusari and then Gallic invasion, Ive seen many enemies of the Crown trying to bring Bretonia down, only to be thwarted by the heroic men and and women of the Armed Forces. While I always wanted to join them, my life has taken me down another path, and I think I can still put my skills and experienceto use for the good of Bretonia here instead.

Decision Notes - You say you flew with the Privateers? They were good ladies and gents, flew alongside them myself as an attaché from the Admiralty for a number of months. The bravery that I witnessed, with the gusto that all Privateers have will be something that I take to the grave with me. Phenomenal. It irks me how most of you lot were treated after the wars. Discarded like common filth.

Disgusting. When the Crown needed dirty work doing, they called it Privateering, when they no longer needed you, piracy. Oh how there are two sides to every one of life's stories.

We will treat you better than that.

OORP Reason for Applying - The space tends to give me a feeling of loneliness and insecurities while traversing it, a danger, if you will. So, I need someone to be around me, occasionally.

I thought the player factions were some kind of place to organise fellow players to RP both in-game and on a forum. That being said, I thought I could use this "UOF" as a "justification" for my RP character being in the said faction.

Apparently it was not used for that. I apologise.

I also didn't know discord was needed for the majority of the discovery community. I thought it was a preference.

Application Verdict - Denied.

Decision Notes - While we appreciate, and share, your sentiments regarding Leeds, your lack of experience in the field is more of a concern. The Service has no current use of officers who have previously fielded trade vessels. If anything, we feel that being part of the Service could do more harm than good to your reputation and possible trade partners.

However, if you remain serious, we would recommend that you get yourself a snubcraft, register as an independent officer and experience some of what it is like in the Service without committing yourself first. You even have access to a public reporting system, where any report you file will end up in our hands. You can find this here.

On a final note, neural net comms //Discord are mandatory for all officers. This only applies to text based comms, voice is completely optional.

This is not a definite no, you are free to apply when you have built up more experience in our field.
