Good day,
I have a request.
I have loyally done my duty to Liberty for the past twelve years. After the Gallic war and the combat in Leeds, I requested a transfer back to New York, where I resumed my work as a weapons specialist at Norfolk. Occasionally, I was given duties outside the station, but nonetheless I remained on duty until my recent, quiet request for retirement was accepted, for which I am grateful.
I believe it is time for me to go home to Bretonia now. I have made peace with what happened in 817 and would like to move back to New London. There is only one thing tethering me to Norfolk at the moment: my beloved F-10 Avenger.
I fell in love with her when I first flew her for ESRD. I have spent the last decade making modifications to her frame and weaponry, testing my own designs, tweaks, calibrations—sanctioned by my superiors at the time, of course. She has truly become an extension of my body, and it would break my heart to leave her behind.
I humbly and sincerely request the rights to claim this ship as my own and fly her home with me, where she belongs. I am willing to reimburse the Republic if that is necessary.
Do note that I intend to uphold the same standards I did in the navy, and I would never slander the name of the First Fleet by committing crime or flying false flags with her. I alone maintained her for these last few years, so she will also always be in the best mechanical condition possible.
Please see the attachment for a summarised version of my service record.
While this is not the appropriate channel for such a request, I shall set aside this minor obstacle and have your request processed normally.
We thank you for your service, Fleet Commander, and we bid you farewell. May your journey to Bretonia be a safe one. Your request has been accepted but is currently set on a pending status. This status will remain until you have provided the government with the ship's identification so we may add your registry to the list of approved surplus licenses.
The Government is, of course, unaware of what mechanical condition such an old vessel may be in, nor will we provide the resources or services necessary for such a vessel to be up-kept. Such responsibility falls onto the First Fleet and the Fleet's Admiralty shall be contacted, should such a need arise now or in the future.

Good day, Director Hawthorne.
Thank you very much for your response. I do apologise for using the incorrect channel, however I was unsure if I still had clearance to use the official one.
The ship name is Valkyrjur. I have been contracted to escort vessels of the Bamburgh Co. here in Bretonia, and intend to use the F-10 for this contract, as well as personal, every day use.
In regards to the mechanical condition, she is in tip top shape. I've been maintaining her myself and have even replaced some of the old and outdated hardware and software with modern equivalents. However, should I be unable to do this myself, I will indeed contact either the fleet, Norfolk, or perhaps DSE for assistance. So far this has not been an issue, but I understand one must be prepared for these challenges.
