I am Venator Vengeance of the Technocracy of Auxo and I am commander of the Auxesian warship Titania and its screening elements. In fact, if you are receiving this, you can likely see my group in a holding pattern nearby.
We are aware the local AI who live in this system have attempted to make contact with you and yet there has been silence. This is not the path of action I advise you continue to take.
You have until this time tomorrow to respond to either myself or the AI, after which I will deem the installation a risk to the operational security of our assets and to that of the local residents. I will then be ordering my group to assist the AI in the dismantling of this station.
Although by rights, you appear to have already overstayed your welcome.
A very imposing title, clearly you're somebody who it's best not to get on the bad side of! I'm Rixit Tezzakoi, one of the Junkers involved in Nameless. It's a pretty funny hand-of-fate push that would bring us together out here, because I'm an Allentown Junker originally, and I've spent a lot of time at Invergordon, too.
So I'm pretty familiar with the Technocracy, I've done some deals with your people before, although you're really tough people to find a good sale with. Well, most of you.
Anyway, some little station all the way out here at the edge of the world was apparently vented recently. You see, Junkers have a special organ that allows us to sniff out fresh wreckage across space, even between systems. Science can't explain it, but it works.
So I got some people together and had a look, seemed pretty fresh, and we thought hey, this might be more valuable to turn back on rather than just scrapping. It's definitely an interesting place, and the station's condition was- well, not great, but good enough that a little tender care could go a long way.
I'm not really sure about attempted contact by this local AI? I'm guessing they might have messaged the previous tenants? Is this AI what's responsible for the place's condition?
Our comms situation here is pretty shaky so maybe we just missed something, but I haven't heard anything.
We do want to avoid pissing off any locals to the best of our negotiating skills.
You'll forgive me for sparing pleasantries however I'll skip to the heart of the matter.
I have copied the representative for the AI into my original transmission so they are aware I have attempted to communicate with you. Although on discussing the situation with them further it appears they are largely set on deconstruction of this facility. This was a fairly predictable outcome considering they have, within the same week, ventilated the atmosphere of that station. It was carried out for a reason and typically best practice when looking to set up shop somewhere that is relatively unknown, is to actually communicate beforehand.
My communication to you was with the intention of preventing loss of life where I can help it. My recommendation at this stage would be to vacate the area. The AI you claim to have not heard from are not in a particularly forgiving mood and considering the circumstance they've found themselves in with unsavory characters of late? I cannot exactly blame them to exercise a default response to such an intrusion, nor can I prevent it.
This is where they live, after all, and it is not ultimately me that you need to negotiate with. I simply made an educated guess that having a carrier orbiting nearby would get your attention, it appears it has had the desired result.
Vacate the installation while you still can. While you could attempt to negotiate with the Gammu AI at this late stage, I think the chances of getting anywhere meaningful are depressingly slim. Though you could try.
Consider this message from one human to another as your notice to vacate Omicron PI, unless by some miracle circumstances take a turn and you talk your way out of this.
The advice is appreciated, but I'm not sure how we really could have reached out, as you say. To our knowledge, this system was uninhabited and uncontrolled in practice.
We don't really know anything about this AI network, what their motivations are, or their ties. Seems like they have ties to you, that's about all we can determine.
I wonder what sort of unsavory characters they've had experience with that you mention? I know us Junkers have a bit of a reputation, but at the end of the day, we're just businesspeople scraping or scrapping out a living how we can, away from the great powers that be.
If you've forwarded this message to this network, hopefully they can share. Of course we would treat evacuation as a last resort.
Unfortunately, the system was in fact not uninhabited, as you've discovered.
The Gammu AI who in fact reside in this system are naturally cautious of those they allow to enter, let alone those they choose to allow to co-exist in a space they occupy. I won't however outline what our ties with them are, that aspect really isn't your concern. In this particular case I am simply here with the aim of assisting in the defense of said Gammu from any sort of external harm from groups such as the Core. Unfortunately they seem hell bent on exploiting the Gammu in one fashion or another, your facility gives them a possible staging point with which to launch attacks. This isn't really acceptable neither for me nor for them and from a tactical point of view, dismantling the station makes perfect sense.
All I can suggest is you contact them yourself. Unit-9467F is a representative of their kin, that would be the entity you should be entering dialogue with. Though I must stress the fact I have spoken with them and their intention to dismantle your facility has been made perfectly clear. I would be very surprised if you would convince them otherwise, but as I've said, you are welcome to try.
What they decide though, is the basis of how I will act for reasons I have outlined already.
