Captain Trager,

Jericho Lynch here, captain of the CV Carkadan. It's been a few years since I last checked in with the Bureau concerning the status of our historical license for the Carkadan. I figured it might be a good idea to do so again and make sure we're still running a legal operation.

Beyond that, the Carkadan has seen a fair bit of wear and tear over the years and is in need of repairs that we can't undertake ourselves without access to proprietary parts. Therefore, with your permission and assuming our license is still valid, I would like to take her in for maintenance on The Ring and have her restored to full operational capability.

We can confirm that the status of the Carkadan is unchanged under the "Historical Artifact Possession and Reenactment" Permit. Present this confirmation to the Ring Drydockmaster to be granted repair permissions. Naturally, available OEM parts will not include recent military grade ODER components, as they are out of scope for the permit granted.

Captain Trager,

Glad to hear the license is still valid. As for the restriction on military grade parts: We were able to salvage two of the Carkadan's RGT-38a Vierling turrets and its RGC-5a Brummbär main cannon when we originally reclaimed the ship. They've been in somewhat of a state ever since and I feel it would be a shame to keep running the vessel under a historical license without returning some of its original armament to full functionality.

Could an exception be made to permit us to restore these weapons?

Exception can be granted to restore the original equipment contemporary to the ship, provided that the parts are still available. However, refits with modern standard military hardware will be subject to arms limitations policies and require permissions beyond a "Historical Artifact Possession and Reenactment" Permit.
