Hawaii Warming Up For Food Battle
Ohayo minnasan,
This is Kuroneko Hanami, correspondent for Tanegashima Neural News Network. As Kyushu Spring dawns upon the Crow Nebula, our very own Sigma Systems are preparing for the annual competition between master chefs, the Sigma Shokugeki!
This year's edition will be hosted on Luxury Liner Hawaii starting March 25, during the current annual cycle. Besides the seeded Kishiro and Samura East teams, we're looking at a new and fired-up lineup of chefs extraordinaire from all over Sirius, as well as the unexpected return of legendary Gas Miner Master Chef Ryunosuke Asakura-sensei.
A lot of Sigma natives are already storming ticket sellers and bookmakers, expecting Ryunosuke-sensei to bring home the rank #1 this year. This does not exhaust the spectacle and amenities on sight, however.
This year Minna no Gohan, an NPO dedicated to providing food for far-off space installations has sponsored the entry of Border World participants, as well as regional House and Independent World teams, as in previous years. We were told that even the recently trending Gallic Wyvern Inn was invited to Shokugeki against the best in the preliminaries, which start tomorrow.
Honshu is expected to start early due to an extraordinary number of applicants. Meanwhile, New Tokyo is lagging behind due to a heavy meteor shower in the afternoon and will host their Food Battles tomorrow. I'm proud to announce the traditional hosts of our *Sigma* Shokugeki will be hosted as per tradition across stations in the sector, starting the moment the Naha Dais aligns between the two suns in Sigma-13.
We at Tanegashima Station are hosting our own preliminary competition, close to Newport Station, now with the expanded availability of locally sourced rice supply from the nearby Desolation Station, as well as the staple Iejima ingredients we all love dearly in Sigma-13.
Sigma Shokugeki will take place over the course of the next two weeks, until the best chefs are served at the landing bay at Hawaii for the main tournament festival.
