Following the recent hacking of the Colony News Service by the criminal organization calling themselves the Lane Hackers, information held by them, and reportedly stolen from the Kusari office of Intelligence, has been transmitted to Sirius at large. Said information was purported to be the schematics for an experimental Jump Drive, which had been recovered by the Lane Hackers following an unknown accident leading to the destruction of the ship carrying the Drive. While any claims coming from the Lane Hackers carry with them a certain amount of dubious intent, such claims must still be investigated for veracity.
Following analysis by top researchers at both Ageira and the Liberty Security Force, we can now confirm that the claims made by the Lane Hackers are accurate, while also confirming that much of this technology is based on recovered alien artifacts. Kusari has developed Jump Drive technology in clear disregard for the Denver Convention and has turned the Boorman Treaty into little more than a suggestion to ignore at their will.
As a result, Liberty is making it perfectly clear that it will not stand for such blatant disregard for interhouse treaties, and will act to protect itself from acts of aggression by any house violating said treaties. At this time, Libertonian military forces are now under orders to treat any Kusari military forces found within sovereign Libertonian space as engaging in a potential invasion and act accordingly. All vessels entering Liberty from Galileo will be searched for devices that would allow agents of the Kusari government to engage in espionage, and any persons found to be facilitating such acts will be imprisoned as spies.
Finally, Liberty calls upon the other house governments to impose trade sanctions on Kusari until they agree to third party mediation of the current legal disputes over Galileo mining rights, as they have made it clear that they have no regard for engaging in good faith diplomacy.
