Communication channel opened... Encryption:Orel Protocol Origin:Juneau Shipyard ID:Admiral Dominika Sokolova Subject:Transferring an old vessel
Good evening,
As we have very briefly met impersonally, allow me to properly introduce myself. I am Admiral Dominika Sokolova, Admiral Prowers' successor and current head of the 5th Fleet. As the First no doubt knows, the 5th has been relegated to secondary duties and seen its budget cut accordingly. As such, we are planning out how best to utilize this budget. One of the key factors is asset reallocation, of which we have a vessel we can no longer keep within our own ranks.
This vessel, the Battlecruiser Miasma, has been in service since the days of the Gallic War and, admittedly, the 5th can no longer afford it's maintenance with the lack of expertise on it's older systems. A modernization package is also beyond our bargaining power within the approved budget. This vessel has carried the flag of both Admiral Miles Prower and Rear Admiral Nicole Prower, and I personally believe it would be a shame to have to relegate this vessel to mothballs or worse, scrap yards.
The vessel is mostly well maintained, and as I understand the First still holds many veterans who would properly understand her quirks. I am reaching out to see if the First Fleet is capable of taking in the Miasma and seeing her continue service at peak condition.

Admiral Sokolova:
Good evening,
I know about the issues that the Fifth has been facing, and if you were unaware, our respective admiralties agreed to allow transfers to the First Fleet upon request, but since you sent this communication, you may simply skip the additional paperwork. We will gladly welcome the Miasma and any of her crew that wish to come along with her. We certainly are not going to turn away combat capable warships with the rising tensions with Kusari following the recent revelations in the media.
You didn't clarify if you were in command of said vessel, but if you are, I look forward to seeing you in space.
Sincerely,
Jack Boehm
