Morning light, a sight that never gets old on Nauru. The wind of the eternal sandy sea echoes across the desert. This both pleases and disturbs Duke, as he believes the desert represents both change, and eternity. 'Two things I can't control but must find a way how' thought Duke. When Delta is quiet and most of the daily duties are carried elsewhere, the Lockdown stands idle in Nauru Orbit waiting and watching for whatever may come their way. As he was standing looking out the bridge, the tactical officer walks over to him carrying some paperwork. "Sir, someone named "Lilly Rosethorn" has been spamming my direct commlink, I don't know how she managed to get a hold of that, but she is getting annoying and keeps asking for you, or at least "someone in charge" she kept saying." Duke slowly turned around to face the officer clearly confused by the information, "She is one of the lieutenants yes?" he asked, "Yes, she is one of the fighter pilots we received a direct application from about a year ago now" responded the officer.
"Ah the younger one, her father's loss must be hard on that one. I wonder what she wants, nothing bad has happened that I know of, or should know of." Duke turns to face back at the window looking out to Nauru and says, "Tell her to come to my office, we have free time today, so I might as well." The tactical officer confirms with a reply while nodding in acknowledgement of the order then goes to look for ride to Durban station for shuttle transport to Nauru.
Planet Nauru... 6 am... everyone was asleep in the house. As a loud knocking came from her main door, Lilly ignored it so well that the person outside started punching the door. Even Lilly woke up scared, grabbed her handgun, and went to the door. She opened the door quickly so that the person had the gun in front of his head in seconds.
When the door opened and the officer sees a gun pointed at him first thing, he stands still and doesn't make a move. "You must be Lilly, a... pleasure to meet you," he said rather calmly. "Now put that gun down, go put your uniform on and meet me back outside with a more proper greeting, and not with a gun in my face please and thank you." The man was rather tall, and casted a long dark shadow from where he stood not moving an inch till Lilly complied. A dropship could be seen past him about thirty meters away with two guards guarding the entrance ramp, waiting for the supposed liftoff when the time came.
Lilly looked wonderd at him and excused herself to him and puts the gun down, turns around and began to get ready for that meeting it took not even five minutes to be ready for the conversation. Before she left she touched a picture of her and started going outside to go with the Officer.They start walking towards the ship and went inside, She thanked the officer to let it happen.
"Good you were quick; seems you have some discipline after all despite putting a gun at my head," strictly said the officer. "Now, you better your absolute best behavior, the Admiral has little patience for antics of any kind. That includes being late, let us hurry before we both get yelled at for wasting time." With that said, they both said little else and quickly left the area to board the shuttle along with the two guards who followed them in and launched into orbit.
Few hours later, they are in the hangar waiting for an inspection officer to check them out and verify their papers. This took time, as ships come and go transferring supplies and crew, all being inspected for safety protocols and standard regulations. When an inspection officer did finally arrive, he wasted no time as he recognized the tactical officer from the bridge was present among those he was checking. After everything was checked out and verified as "green," they went to Duke's office, a private area of the ship further behind the main helm, and waited for him to answer. "Since we have to wait a little while, tell me about yourself, what is this all about? I know you wanted to see Duke, and he somehow approved your meeting, but I would like some information before we go in."
Lilly looked at the officer with a disappointed face. She said "Well its because I checked the current state of the situation from Core, and how should we win wars in Omicrons if we dont got the supply for it so I want to ask him if he approves of a secondary group that brings materials no matter what for Duke and the stations, like building another Mako or another Bullhead." She begins to look down and to keep on waiting for the Duke to be done in his office.
Thinking for a moment, the officer wondered what made the pilot come to this conclusion for needing "a second group." "Watching too much holocron are we? The war effort might not be in our favor right now, but things will come around again. This I can promise to you. Anyways, I'm still surprised the Admiral even agreed to see you, he usually would dismiss such spam as yours, but maybe he thought something different about you."
He stays silent for another moment, then realizes something, "Wait, why do you inquire about a second group? There is already a branch in ARM handling the mercantile and logistical side of things, unless there are some specific questions you wish to ask? This could've been a simple call to the help desk, but whatever too late now I suppose." With that statement he said no more and continued his wait for their approval to come inside the office.
The door opens from the office and Lilly stands up to walk inside. She said "Greetings Admiral Duke, Thank you for taking your time." She looked around and sees a Fancy Office. She looked from her spot where she was standing in every corner of this room since she never saw that in her life.
"Shhsh! You will speak when given permission to-" yelled the officer, only to be interrupted. "Let her speak, no need to be strict about this one," said a new voice from the office itself. "You go back to the bridge, I'll handle things from here," stated Duke. The officer nods stubbornly, but courtly, then leaves back to the bridge without a word. "Now you must be the nagging second lieutenant Lilly Rosethorn yes? Who kept personally requesting oddly for me." Duke asks her.
Lilly says "If this is what you wish to call me i shall it be. Im here for requesting to change my post from fighting to something different and more productive for the ARM. I would to glad to let you know my Ideas if you wish for it sir duke."
