Helping Newbies?

I haven't played Discovery for half a year. And I think my character is deleted because of that. So I decided to start over.

Then I found it extremely hard to get started...well, I think there must be a way to get money and I just forgot what I did on the character that was deleted...

So...I think it should be a good idea to have a post helping newbies to know what the ~~~ they need to do to get started...
