Army Raids Militant Hideout
PLANET ERIE - In the weeks following the attack on Lewiston Prison, liberating a number of Militant and former Separatist prisoners, the Liberty Security Force has been coordinating with the Liberty Army in hunting down the cell responsible for this brazen strike. This cooperation has yielded results as the 124th External Security Battalion has conducted an extensive operation in the outlaying city of Kewaunee. Leaving little chance, the city entered a sudden lockdown as 124th mechanized units entered the city with their destination in mind: the Waukenau Cargo Terminal.
As the night sky fell over the terminal, combined arms units seized the terminal after ordering the civil workers to immediately surrender. After seizing the terminal, 124th officers determined a warehouse and underground storage facility was being used as a planetary hideout and storage facility for Militant operations. Chaos erupted as gunfire shattered the otherwise peaceful night. A lengthy exchange of fire left most Militant fighters dead, although inflicting only minor casualties to Liberty Army forces. Within the underground complex, a number of weapons, explosives and other supplies were seized.
In a statement regarding the late night raid, the Army spokesman stated that they found materials and planning documents regarding Lewiston and the surrounding area, but believe that the Militants alone were not sufficient in carrying out the attack. Although he did not point fingers, it was hinted that foreign operators provided assistance to some degree in either the planning, execution, or both. Believing the Waukenau Cargo Terminal had landed a covert Militant vessel to evacuate the escaped prisoners, Liberty Army personnel have expanded their mandate.
Throughout Erie, Liberty Army soldiers replace cargo and passenger terminals civil security to tighten security, with the Governors Office saying this is only as temporary measure to ensure peace on Erie, though many are skeptical as to it's duration.
Yeah, the 124th did something alright. They shot my fucking wife in the dead of night!
