Going to be a hell of a few months wait

Over the last few days I've lightly racked my brain about some of the games that are on the way for my love and hate relationship with my Xbox 360. There are some good ones coming that are on top of my mind, and they need to be to keep my head entertained since I completed the Orange Box last night. Half Life 2, and Eps 1 & 2 and Portal. Brilliant games with a hilarious Team Fortress on top.

Now back on topic. What games are going to drive me, and my bank account over the edge? I downloaded two new trailers this morning while eating my Corn Flakes.

Halo ODST gameplay trailer - This showed me what was inside the game, and a hint of the storyline. I think it looks like a more polished and varied Halo 3 engine, not very ambitious, but varied enough to keep my attention on it. It looks great and it will be great to step out of the power armor and into an ODST drop pod. Also, I think the Firefight mode is a GoW 2 Horde mode (drools).

Halo: Reach - We all knew the end, now lets live it. The teaser trailer was released this week I think, not much insight into what the game type is going to be, or who you are. But I assume its going to be a FPS with you in a squad based Spartan battles. I'm guessing Brothers in Arms with a Halo twist. But until I research, I'm only guessing.

Modern Warfare 2 - Do I seriously need to state reasons as to why I shouldn't buy a copy of an already epic game? The trailers shows what appears to be a gripping and action packed storyline and the multiplayer, even if they left it alone would be awesome, but Infinity isn't like that. New stuff is on the way, and I intend to be there on release day.

Left 4 Dead 2 - Not much details, but one word makes it sold. Chainsaws. You heard me. Its not confirmed, but melee weapons are going to be more involved. Like bats and the iconic chainsaw. Its coming people, and the AI Director wants your ass as a Tank's helmet once more.

Final Fantasy XIII - I love the Final Fantasy genre, no question but I've hated the latest releases (X-2 XII) The looks of the current trailers show epic graphics and I pray a good story. I can't wait to see more.

Modern Warfare 2
Left 4 Dead 2

I want to love Halo ODST, but until I see new epic'ness, its not going to be my 'save or die' list.

What I really want these days:

Crysis 2: I had a love/hate thing with the original, but in the end I appreciated it. I'm looking forward to this one.

Half-Life 2 Episode 3: If I do actually get to play this before I die of old age, I'll be happy.

Dind't know there was a Crysis 2 and LFD 2 coming out, i'm gonna get me those. Modern Warfare 2 I did know about and gonna get me that aswell.

New updates for Team Fortress 2 give the characters new weapons to use, making the game much better. The Sniper can use a longbow, but unfortunately it can't beat the sniper rifle.

I liked FFXII, and would have XI if it wasn't pay-to-play, but some of what I've heard about XIII seems a little ridiculous. One of the summons, possibly Shiva, is a motorcycle unless the rumormongers have been lying to me again.

Modern Warfare 2 should be fun, even if they killed the American cowboy :/

I'm looking forward to Assassins Creed 2, coming out some time around Christmas, even if people say the first was repetitive and the main character has an odd name. More stealthkill goodness.

To be completely honest, I'm kind of angry about the L4D2 announcement... I mean, we dropped 50$ on the first one and got 4 maps, only 2 of them were Versus mode until recently, we got 2 "game modes" and a 3rd just recently... There was no storyline, few weapons, and only so much that you can do without getting bored.
Now they're releasing ANOTHER one???
Release date is set for November apparently, which is only a year from the first one.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it'll be fun... But wouldn't a cheap expansion pack have done the job?

Modern Warfare 2. Let's admit it: Infinity Ward re-invinted the FPS style. Do you seriously imagine CoD 5 would have had Perks and such in it if it wasn't of CoD 4? I heard that CoD 7 will STILL be a WWII game. Seriously? Medal of Honour died. Brother's in Arms, I can't complain. Gotta be the best WWII series around. But Treyarch gotta stop whinning and copy Infinity Ward "WWII style" if they want to survive.

Back to MW2: It looks awesome. Captain Soap, leading a bunch of SAS agents? with snowmobiles? SWIMMING? More developped melee system? I'm in. 400% in.
