The Shattered Worlds mod completely revamped the graphics of all the systems. I tried it out and it's actually true and gives a whole new feel to the game.

How in the world did they do it? We should ask them or try to look over their mod and implement this into the Discovery mod. It will improve the mod ten folds. This isn't advertisement for The Shattered Worlds in any way, so please don't close this topic, I'm just trying to give a heads up and some advise for the mod. I'm completely loyal to Discovery and think all players here should be as well. But, It just gives a feel to the mod that the veterans who played this game for many years miss, as every system isn't really recognizable and your not looking at the same graphics you have been looking for the past five years.

I can't see any new graphics in those screenshots, unless you are referring to the starscapes? In which case it's being experimented on by a few people.

The starscape bitmaps could use an update.

If there is any graphic changes going to be made, can we PLEASE have weapon effects simmilar to those of crossfire, as even the justice mkI there is an aweinspiring weapon!

P.S. Im not in any way suggesting we steal it, as i know that is frowned upon, it is just that they seem to have done something to their guns to make them look amasing.

All they did was change the particle colours.

You really got to see it. Everything is more bright, vivid. The clouds look much more realistic and have more detail in them. There are more stars all around, asteroids look more dense, vivid, and have greater detail.

Another nice touch they have is a docking object next to a planet. When you dock, your ship goes 'into' the planet giving it the affect like it's descending into the atmosphere.

No, from what i have seen, they seem to have combined many gun effects together to make one new and amasing one (plus changing the colours), not to mention making totaly new effects.

I must not have the latest version of it, then.

On topic: Out of all the mods out there, Plasmafire is the best example of the graphic capabilities of the Freelancer engine. We can definitely go above and beyond the ENB effects.

Personally, if we had the ability, I do not waaant.... Until I upgrade this poor excuse of a machine, at least.

My god, stop making such a fuss about graphics! As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't improve gameplay!

I want to get off Mr. Igiss' wild ride.

I don't really think graphic revamps are really all that important...as far as I'm concerned it's fine how it is right now (even if some of the starscapes could use some work)

an important thing to keep in mind, is that some of the people who play here, do not have new/decent gaming computers, and cannot support newer graphics models. (myself included)

So, that's my opinion, I think for the most part, it's fine how it is.
