The Liberty Navy's time

Okay, I was sat at the Mojave - NY Gate trade lane in California in my good old Liberty Rogue transport, LR-Reasonable.Fee. I'm waiting for a Planetform guy to come through from the Mojave side, when suddenly this massive Liberty Carrier called the LNS-Aurora comes out of the lane from the NY Gate side. Obviously I said "Time to sciddadle!" and fled to the ice field where I keep in 13k of him. But he doesn't leave.

Here is my question. Why is the Liberty Navy sending Carriers to stop little old me from taxing a few unfortunate traders. I mean a bomber, two fighters and a gunboat to take down my fighter I thought was abit much, but shouldn't that Carrier be in Bering or Hudson instead of bullying little old me?

Infact any [LN] faction member should play with decency and common sense. That is what I believe our faction leader tries to accomplish.

(Not that independent players play unfairly, there are some great ones out there.)

Hopefully so. I was even more astonded when he started labelling his talk Aurora:. I thought he was such a bad role-player his ship was talking! He said his ship was named after him but still, i'm not entirely convinved...

I wasn't entirely treated badly, only my pride was badly treated for being stopped in taxing, and that damn Planetform trader escaped, laughing all the way.

Well the important part is that you try to ignore stuff that frustrates you, possibly do something else for a while when these incidents happen or play on another character. Else you might make the mistake I did and do something without thinking of the consequences. Now unfortunately we shouldn't have mentioned this person's character-name even though I really wanted to, since this is technically "trial-by-forums".

In my few days playing here, I've already seen two Liberty capital ships (supported by fighters, not alone) taken down by pirates in New York, and three if you count gunboats. Is it entirely unreasonable for a capital ship to then respond to a pirate report, given that it would seem the pirates are more of a threat than Rheinlanders? A pirate battleship has even flown right past Manhattan, I think.

I could be missing something here, but I think the answer to your question is 'Not at present, and we need more Rheinlanders and fewer pirates'.

I was in New York yesterday evening with my merc escorting two friends in transports. They first were ambushed by a coursair Gunboat and a cruiser, managed to escape only tp withness afterwards hof the two corsairs were teaming up with a bunch of Xenos who were lungering in Manhattens orbit until that point and teared all LN and BH forces who tried to stop them to shreds, including at least one capital ship.
After that happening one of the Corsairs was screaming through the system chat that they are taking over NY.
At this point we fled the system.
From my chars point of view i would say now - yes, every pirate is to be removed by brute force and any means necessary.
As a player...well i can't really take this serious, i mean corsairs and Xenos taking over NY? Come on...

I really don't want to complain or lawyer anyone, but that's why i try to evade New York whenever i can.

An i totally agree with the fact that there are way to much pirates and way to few Rheinlanders fighting Liberty.
