Right, so everyone loves reading articles with pretty pictures, and a lot of the wiki doesn't have pretty pictures... most notably the factions of Gallia. While Gallia itself has the nice Fleur-de-lys, and the Council has something for a logo, the rest of the place is completely bare. While you're at it, if you have something to add to those pages we'd love to have the help.

For those of you looking for something to do or a way to help out our efforts to bring some life into Gallia- starting by making information about it easy to access- please consider making a faction logo for a Gallic faction. Such logos should be simple and strong- recognizable without clutter, nothing over the top. Well, the corporate ones could get pretty ridiculous, but the others should be fairly basic emblems.

The factions themselves, and some notes on what might make a decent logo if I have them:

-Lawfuls-

• The Gallic Royal Navy- these guys are a hard bunch, soldiers who will gladly put their lives down at the slightest order from the Crown. A simple modification of the Fleur-de-lys would be ideal, if not just the Fleur-de-lys itself.
  
• The Gallic Royal Police- more corrupt than you can imagine: how many Police IDs allow you to pirate people, after all? Again, a modification of the Fleur-de-lys would be ideal.
  
• Ile-de-France Shipping- A shipping company that does most of the moving in Gallic space. As a corporation, their logo can be pretty fancy and ridiculous. They are easily the most loyal to the Crown of the corporations.
  
• EFL Oil and Machinery- The company responsible for producing and assembling Gallic tradelanes, stations, and ships. They also have a veritable monopoly on oil, something that could be a strong part of their logo.
  
• Gallic Metal Service- The company that mines and refines the materials used for Gallic industry. Although they endeavor to keep their workers in good conditions, the nature of their work results in a strong sympathy for Council.
  

-Unlawfuls-

• The Council- Not so much a group as a miniature House that broke away from Gallia, with its own military, government, and infrastructure. Fighting to stay free and to turn Gallia into something better, they are the primary opposition to the Gallic Royal Navy. They already have a logo, but feel free to provide alternatives.
  
• The Maquis- Ex-Council who use terrorism and murder to strike at the Crown. They are motivated partly out of a wish for the people to be free, and partly out of revenge. They are brutal, violent, and merciless, and their logo could do well as a sharper version of the Fleur-de-lys, possibly with a little blood to top it off.
  
• Gallic Brigands- Good old pirates, with an image of stealing from the "rich" and giving to the "poor"- although they really just target anyone who can't defend themselves, and keep most of the riches to themselves. Still, they enjoy the Robin Hood reputation and such a romantic idealization could feature in their logo.
  
• Unione Corse- The Mafia, pure and simple. They can get away with a lot, and often end up as competitors with the Police. The Black Market belongs to them (and the Brigands, in a lesser fashion) and they do not take kindly to people getting in their way. Nasty people, but they protect their own.
  

I'm afraid I can't offer payment for any of these, but I can offer a few variant Fleur-de-lys to help you get started.

A sharper Fleur-de-lys. If the end at the top was curled inward a little and had a drop of blood coming from it, it might make for a killer Maquis logo.
