Now, sorry if im rising the dead agian. But I used search engine, and it spammed me with hundred of threads.

So. Not so long ago I was sanctioned, well perhaps given a warning of not right weapons on my lawful freelancer character. My buckshots were taken. With them my pvp-whoring with the fastest guns and the best ship ever build ended on the lawful side. Dan.Bundy lost his daily bred. I contacted the admins the answer was Bukchots and Sabre does not fit.

Alright, let me get this straight. The Sabre its self is from the neutral line. Alright, perhaps now outcast uses the same desing for their cap ship lines. But all in all the sabre is neutral one and it was always so. Just becouse some other factions got their own ships, and no longer use sabre doesnt means outcasts own it IMO.

Now, the next possible question you can ask is, why da hell in vanila freelancer only pirates use that ship?

Yeah intresting. But the thing is that its the borderworlds ship. And who mostly lives in borderworlds?.. yes pirates. Thats the point.

And now, what i suppose to do. How can I fly a lawful freelancer (mostly flying around Bretonia-Liberty, becouse the guy was bron in magellan) with a sabre and mount right equipment taht other lawfuls wouldnt get mad?

P.S why buckshots? Becouse my freelancer mostly owrking on hunting tasks. Since he has that status I asked my self, from who would be the easiest to get weapons? The houses doesnt like to share their weaponry with outsiders. So i came up with other lawful force. BH.


So.. after all this talkin the questions is, how do I put lawful weaponry on sabre lawful freelancer and do not suffer from sanction or warning notifications?

Oh and i strongly disagree with "Outcas only ship" no matter that some outcasts players would want to feel that way. In that case the Eagle is Liberty only ship and reinland coorporation wouldnt be able to use it at all .. that wouldnt make any sense IMO.

Buckshots on a Sabre, while not jumping out as bad like Tizonas on a Thor would, still feels a little "off"... not necessarily "must be a spy, shoot the bugger" but it would definitely raise eyebrows.

Purple Goddesses pack a nice punch, and Heavy Flashpoints or Zoner Furies aren't that bad. Light codename weaponry might also be worth looking into.

As far as I can tell, the Sabre is not outright "pirate" but is somewhat affiliated with the edge of the fence. Funnily enough, most of the people who have been trying to make it clear it is not an Outcast ship are Outcasts... but it is still associated with the wrong side of the law, even if only somewhat.

More 'neutral' guns will probably serve you just fine. Good hunting.

Last time I saw the Borderworld shipline was not Outcast shipline.


Just because there is no Outcast VHF...well its like Xenos using Eagles.









In short, Yes you can use a Sabre, but watch out as people will bitch, if they don't know who made the thing in the first place.

The sabre is a neutral vessel, it is not an outcast craft and there's no issue using bounty hunter weapons on it, so long as you have at least a bounty hunter tag or ID, or work something out with the BHG faction first.

I've got no personal problem with buckshots on a sabre. Maybe I treat the borderworlds shipline as more neutral than most? (I own the LF, HF, VHF and bomber, and have no Outcast characters). But I don't really see it as any different from the eagle, rules wise.

Yeah, def a neutral shipline. It just so happens to be a favorite of some unlawful groups much in the same way insurgents use AK-47s and not the M4, availability is key.

The Sabre is, quite technically, a heavier Eagle made for the rugged Borderworlds. Apparently the Eagle is a bit too weak to survive out there? Heh.
