Hello! I am playing freelancer discovery on a personal persistent server, so none of this applies to your server so don't worry about telling me something that might "ruin" the game for you guys (as far as RPing goes) but I was wondering what is a good way to make money fast? I am currently Piloting a Transport Freighter and I make my money by mining scrap metal in Pittsburg. Each scrap yeilds 599$ a piece and it takes about 10-15 minutes to get 1000 pieces. So as you can tell, I get about 599,000 every 20 minutes or so. I was wondering if there is anyway I could make faster money maybe easier. I have a cargo hold of 1000, so I don't want to be trading all the way across the galaxy. Thanks.
If it's your own server - use Ioncross and just adjust how much money you have. :)
Other than that - I make about 30 million an hour fairly easily with a 4 stop run - Leeds - Hamburg - New Berlin - New London - rinse, repeat, using my Shire. I certainly don't consider that going halfway around the galaxy.
One thing you have to watch is what commodity is available for mining. I went out to Delta on another server thinking I was going to mine iridium. Oops...
go to tau 31 land on planet harris. Buy prisoners and take off. Dock on the orbiting battleship and sell the prisoners. Land on planet harris and buy prisoners......
To relieve boredom, slowdock on the battleship and watch the other traders pile up outside. Lol at the curses and personal insults tossed your way.
