Ok, here's the skinny on my Junker: Fantasma is a smuggler and I'm trying to work it up to a Pirate Train.
The problem: I logged in today and find that my reps are all screwed up and OORP. I know I didn't shoot at any of these factions either.
Kusari State Police is now hostile? WTF? I've never gone into Kusari and have no idea why they're hostile. Why they would be in the first place is beyond me. I read the ID and the Junker descriptions both in game and on the wiki and find no basis for this. On the occasional skirmish Junkers get beat back by HOGOSHA, not KSF.
Hogosha I've never fired upon because I don't go into Kusari. They're supposed to be hostile anyway so no problem there.
Farmers Alliance? There's no RP and no history to back that one up. They hate foreign trade corporations. First of all, Junkers is not a trading corporation. While some individual Junkers choose to move goods, it's not what Junkers is about. Add to that the fact that Junkers don't often go into Kusari, and never land on Kusari bases, and one should realize that FA would have no reason to hate Junkers.
Kusari Naval Forces is also very much OORP. I challenge anyone to make a junker character with this one red and try to land on Freeport 6. Try to get through the Tau systems at all without getting munched by KNF NPCs. At the very least you'll eat up all your shield batteries and some nanobots. This rep denies Junkers access to Freeport 6 which has a heavy KNF patrol right outside the base. As with KSP, I find absolutely no RP nor history to back this rep up.
Independent Miners Guild also denies access to Freeport 4. In case y'all forgot, FP4 is an IMG base. Also, once again, I find absolutely no RP nor historical reason for this rep to be hostile to Junkers.
As for the various Guard factions, I wholeheartedly agree and wish the admins would take that a step further. If I'm a Rogue, what possible reason would I have to be in Puerto Rico? If I'm a Junker, why would I be in Cassini? Same for Universal being in Virgina, it shouldn't happen. Guard factions should only allow access to their own faction and their allies. Junkers have no allies and should not have access to the guard system of anyone else, regardless of individual rep, and vice verse. Nobody, except Junkers, should be anything but hostile with Junker Guard.
I would, very much, like to see my reps repaired so I can do my smuggling run without getting blown out of the sky without even getting scanned first by the NPC in Tau and wherever IMG happens to have a base. As things are now I can not do any legal trading, were I so inclined, that go anywhere near FP4 and FP6. They are FREEports, I see no reason why my access should be blocked like this.
no longer valid. A rogue can go from California => Magellan => Kansas => Humboldt and never touch a guard system. Mind you, I do have a Rogue character. I'm not discriminating at all on this.
They have a new program that does RepNinja I believe.
Stay calm. All Junkers are in the same boat I believe. PM an admin.
This is a good thing as it will show the mistakes in planning base locations and etc etc.
It also helps people from the beginning.
The main thing is to remain calm.

1. FP 6 was a Zoner base as i last went there. You should be able to dock.
2. I have 3 GC chars. And i visit FP 6 without having any troubles. I go to Bretonia without troubles. I go back to Kusari without meeting any KNF patrol. Maybe change your route?
3. Kusari hates Junkers. All of them. As far as i know. Well, except GC and Dragons.
In a brilliant tactical movement, i charged backwards.
Yes, I can dock on FP6. The problem is getting to and from it. There's a KNF battleship patrolling right outside, along with the rest of the compliment that patrols with it. The first time I tried going to FP6 I did finally make it, but had to replace all of my shield batteries and some nanobots.
This was in a Pirate Train in the USA server. Thankfully the admins there adjusted KNF to neutral. There, however, IMG never went hostile. This still denies access to Freeport 4 that, ironically enough, has Rogue missions available on it. Why IMG would be hostile to a "quasi-legal" when a fully unlawful can not only dock but can also take missions is beyond my comprehension.
I am calm, I've out my thoughts in the first post in a calm and thoughtful manner. Although I can see where the "WTF?" might be interpreted as being emotional.
I have not tested this thought yet, but would GMG Gas Miner Naha also fire on me with my hostile status with KNF? I never had a GMG character so I'm not familiar with GMG's relationship with Kusari lawfuls. I do know that GMG is Kusari in origin and are lawful. If a KNF or KSP NPC in Sigma 13 started to fire on me, would GMG turn hostile too?
The main reason I bring this issue up is it doesn't seem to follow the information available in the wiki and in the game. Junkers, for example, do not list anything, other than Hogosha, in Kusari as enemies. I've also never had a Kusari character so I'll have to do some looking when I get back into the game to see if Junkers is actually listed as an enemy on any of them, other than Hogosha. I know Junkers is not listed as an enemy on the wiki.
EDIT: Farmers Alliance lists "Foreign Corporations" as enemies, but Junkers is not a corporation, they're a faction.
I also just noticed GC as hostile too. None of these factions list Junkers as an enemy in the game, I just looked through them. If any of them listed Junkers as enemies like Hogosha does, I'd understand. They don't.
Again, really don't mind the Guard factions, that's only right in my opinion. Nobody should be able to fly into another faction's Guard system without being fired upon, unless you're allied with that faction. This tool should be used to enforce this fully. There's no reason Bounty Hunters, for example, should be able to run through PR on the way to Humbolt without being fired upon.
I could see making a case for KSP to keep rogue Junkers from landing on most Kusari bases, or the profitable ones, at least. The resof of Kusari being hostile to Junkers is not valid RP, unless Kusari is fighting wars on 2 fronts, Bretonia and Gallia? Last I knew, this was not the case.

Hogosha are enemies of the Junkers
Hogasha are allies of the FA
The FA are funded by Samura
Samura is the core Kusari Corporation & therefore has enormous influence over the Police & Navy.
If you are playing a Junker (the best ID in the game) expect to have it rough in Kusari.
A lot of players here try to get around these restrictions & when this happens Admin seem to be currently re-setting rep to more structured settings - which I agree with. I have seen too many players complain about others being OORP, but when it relates to them they feel that their RP is distinct & should be treated differently. Your RP might be sound, but many here will circumvent the spirit of the game when its financially expedient & in my mind that's poor play. If you feel aggreived then follow Hyung Soong's advice & PM an admin.
Me personally - these are the enemies I want (being a Junker), so its saved me considerable time fixing my rep & I can now get on with playing the game:)

Seconded. I like this now that I've had time to play with it.
