I've asked this a couple times and not received a concrete answer.

What are lux liners and prison ships classified as under the fighter/gunboat/trader/cruiser/transport etc... scheme?

Which means if you are carrying a spa and cruise ID you can't fly a lux liner, which seems rather silly.

Anyway I'll wait and see if I get a concrete answer this time.

Why should there be rules exceptions?

The lux liner (and the prison ship) should be classified as traders imho, since they have large cargo holds. If they are classified as gunboats then gunboats should be listed as allowed for ID's that could RP flying a prison ship or lux liner.

However your not the only one who thinks they should be traders without gunboat class weapons and shields.

As igiss has decided that they can use gunboat weapons and shields and that they are targets for anyone in a capship they're not traders.

This is his mod so it's upto him. If you don't like it go find another mod.

So, just go with them being gunboats, if igiss says otherwise then you can change your ID, if he doesn't then your fine.

Igliss, what is the classification of lux liners and prison ships. If they are gunboats then shouldn't the spa and cruise ID allow gunboats? flying a lux liner with a spa and cruise ID seems reasonable, but if they are gunboats doing so is a rules violation and a bannable offense as I read it.

How can that be a rules violation? The only reason they can be treated as a GB is the shield, and the weapons mountings. That's it. It's not a RP violation, and it's not a trader. Got it?

Because the spa and cruise ID does not allow you to fly gunboats, it only allows fighters, traders and transports.
