Bretonian Broadcasting Corporation

817 A.S. Earlier today Sir Edmond Grey announced that funding for a BMM expedition of Planet Sprague, in the Omega 3 system, had been approved. This announcement coincided with the national budget allocation for the corporation, and is expected to yield results in the form of Bretonian citizens setting foot on the planet once more within two to three months.

Planet Sprague itself has had a murky past, veiled by mystique and intrigue. After planetary access was denied by the destruction of the planetoids docking ring during the inexplicable actions of the Rhienland Military during the events of 800 A.S. government interests regarding Sprague waned, with money invested elsewhere in projects that were more visibly essential to Bretonian expansion at that time.

However, interest in the planet, and indeed the system has been reignited by territorial conflicts further north, leading to the funding for the expedition being passed. The BMM who has previously lobbied for such an expedition with little luck has stated that surveyors will be landing on the planet to search for minerals that could play a part in bolstering mining operations in the system. However, when questioned, Government representatives have remained tight-lipped on the possibility of a future colony on the planets surface.

When interviewed BMMs CEO Sir Paul Ashton had the following to say; the expedition will draw a line under the events of 800 A.S. and marks Bretonia's determination to press ahead with future development plans.
