For a while now I have been trying to further the concept of slavery into Sirius. The first big step was the commodity, then came the ID and the liner. Now I would like to take things a step further and complete the ship line. I only figure that slavers would need 3 vessels, a large fortress like transport for shipping slaves en-mass (The current pilgrim liner), an armored transport for short distance trading and to RP as a boarding vessel, and Heavy fighter to assist in raids and light boarding.

Right now I am offering 50 million for a modeler to make the Vulture heavy fighter. The price is negotiable, but that is my opening offer. This is what I want developed.

I want to take a falcon heavy fighter and modify it. Overall I want the fighter remain the same general shape but I would like to add some slaver specific modifications.

1. I would like it use a a single vertically mounted CSV like engine port, to visually represent engine upgrades.

2. I would like some rigging placed on the underbelly. That rigging should include some kind of grabbers so that in RP the fight can land against the side of a larger vessel. That rigging will also need to include small docking port so that the pilot and a pair of raiders can board the vessel they have latched onto.

3. It must use the slaver liner texture / mat file. If it does not use the slaver liner mat file the developer's won't put it in the mod when I submit it. (This requirement is essential to keep the overall mod size down)

My reasoning for having a falcon modified is because slavers do not build their own ships. They may modify existing ships for their use, because they are not an organization that is large enough to have their own ship yards. I believe that modifing a well know civilian fighter will help cement that aspect home.

Just a reminder that 50 million credits is only the base offer. Depending on how well you have done I am willing to up 150 or more.

I can have grappler ships?

As i've somewhat said in other threads, there should be more ships made towards factions that don't have their own. Xenos, Slavers, AI's (non-harvesters), mercenaries, etc

I am only offering credits now because in the past many of the modders have made a number of things for me for free. After having begged for so much, I did not feel right asking again without offering something as a reward. If it was not for my current unemployment, I would be offering up real money.

Good God....They'd have eight types of battleships....


Perhaps you guys should use a combination of Junker ships and civilian ships? Mount a cage on the back of the Roc?

I have the goal to one day develop the entire space slavery concept into an accessible new NPC faction. (unlike Coalition and Colonial which are exclusive to their parent player faction) Part of a faction is to have a "brand identity". Thats why I asking for this fighter, and in the future an armored transport. Those combined will create the ship line for this NPC faction.

As it happens the Slavers Union finds all the ships it needs (sans a few transports) in the Z-Series pirate line. This is not creating a ship because my player faction is short on something to use, this creating a ship to further RP potential via the creation of atmosphere.

Allright then, since I've been wanting to get into ship design I'll have a go at this. :)

On *one* condition.
I do *not* get paid if my design is accepted. I enjoy the long haul trade and smuggling runs and its no fun to just have such a lovely sum plopped in my lap. Call me crazy if you want, but my reward is just (hopefully) being able to successfully design a nice ship.;)

Well truth be told I have already, I've got a WIP model fully re-textured to the Pilgrim's .mat and I've made all the chassis changes I want. (based right off the Falcon as ordered)
Really its just a matter of building the grappler arms and attachments etc.
("and all that was without even a single drop of rum")

That and I have to decipher the enigma that is hardpoints. *shudder*

Ok, so it is now in a more or less 'finished' state model-wise.

Based off the falcon (but using exclusively the Pilgrim's .mat), its mean, its nasty its rude 'cause it was built by slavers with a bad attitude...

I am aware there are a couple small spots where the textures are stretched these can easily be dealt with if the design is acceptable.

Critique? go easy on me since this is my first ever attempt at FL ship design, but be honest.
