It has been nearly two decades since Vanilla, and there are a lot of salvage crews and junkers or whoever that salvages these days.

So, should some debris fields be shrunk by a decent margin? If so, what ones come to your mind?

On top of my head, are the ones near Yanagi, and Rochester, maybe Pittsburgh.

Those fields where created by debris from still-active shipyards, so the debris is coming in as fast as it's being hauled away. Sites like Sigma-13 could be reduced, however.

Ah true, forgot about that.

But if I remember for lore, most of the debris fields are from rapid industrialization and station construction, and I guess there would be some new ways to lower waste, but there is a lot of space, in well, space.

Plus Sirius seems to have undergone a massive boom in exploration and expansion in the past 18 years. I wonder why...

Unless I'm mistaken, the field in Sigma 13s clean up was protected to be complete a few years ago.

Thing is, many of these debris fields are used as cover for unlawful bases, or junker bases. Plus, if you get rid of the fields, there's no reason to have the junker bases around anymroe, so you're effectively depriving the junkers of their own docking locations.

That's true. And I doubt that any junker likes to reduce his own cover. Plus, you have to consider that the Junkers are looking for valuable pieces of junk. I suppose they leave large amounts of debris behind as they don't have the furnaces to melt less valuable metal pieces.
